- "Dear Mr. P7A77, I am an obscenely long viewer and fan of the Project: Dennys page (as well as being an occasional participant WOO WOO) and want to tell the Viewers at Home about this Dennys I used to go to when I was a kid living overseas in Singapore. We had a Dennys about five minutes walk from where I lived; from what I can remember, the food was your standard Dennys fare. Needless to say, there weren't any WAYs at this Dennys 'cos everybody was a Singaporean and WAY himself is a definite American Phenomenon. The Singapore Dennys was unremarkable except for one time when they switched (accidentally, so they said) our powdered sugar with baking powder! Icky poo! I remember I used to play a game at that Dennys with some friends who later went on to attend the California Institute of Technology and also almost run over famous two-time Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling in a parking lot: the amazing Pass the Parsley game, in which you try to surreptitiously hide your parsley on the plates of people eating around you. This challenging game has since been rendered ineffectual by the mysterious removal of parsley from Denny's armada of dining condiments. Why, Oh Why???" - written prior to September, 1999

- "had a conversation with an amercian friend who now lives in singapore. i hate local food- new zealander born and raised here- and denny's in singapore, of which there are i think 3 outlets, has a place wedged in my memory. it's where i had my last birthday, which i thought was incredibly romantic - it was/is the only place open in my neighbourhood after midnight besides 7-11 and hawker centres (local food)and that's where my now-ex and i ended up. it sucked. denny's in singapore has lousy decor, worse than macdonalds (at least there the seats are clean plastic) and the staff are generally surly. the worst part is that the food is lousy. people here worship food. decent food is de rigeur and denny's is really *really* bad. anyhow, my american friend said that denny's in the states is miles better with fresh egg omlettes, real thick toast and coffee that isn't reheated silge water. is this true? why the hell is denny's in singapore so bad? why did i spend my 18th birthday with an utter bastard at a denny's????!! sigh." - written prior to September, 1999

- December 16, 2000 - "I have lived in Singapore for over five years and have visited the Dennys at Orchard Tower many times. During that time frame, I have witnessed the service go from mediocre to bad to worse to essentially non-existent. I mean the service there stinks...stinks...it STINKS worse than rotten tuna fish left out on a hot August day!!! There have been times in the early morning (6am or so) when I am the ONLY customer in the place, and STILL the service is terrible. Usually, one has to ask several times for a refill of coffee, and usually you never get it. I take matters into my own hands and walk back into the area which has a sign"no entry, staff only" and get my own. The staff has an annoying habit of hiding in the back to avoid having to address any customer requests. If anyone comes to Singapore, email me, I will be happy to bring you there for the dining experience of a lifetime."
