Florence, South Carolina
- " I have had nothing but bad experiences and today was the third strike. We have tried Denny's before and this time after about seven months of passing by the place, we stopped......again! They let one plate stay on the pick up shelf so long that by the time the other plate was ready, the first one was cold! Then they had the nerve to slip the entire plate into the microwave, toast, jelly and all, and try to heat it. The coffee was luke warm and the waitress was having a bad hair day. I have nothing against what you are doing but Denny's hasn't done me right. Happy traveling and I hope you somehow get to all the Denny's; if not in the world, at least all those in the United States. By the way, the Denny's we ate in today was in Florence, South Carolina at the I-95 and SC HWY 52 intersection. Add that to the list." - written prior to September, 1999

- "My name is Dan Koeppel, I am the General Manager of the new Denny's Classic Diner in North Myrtle Beach, SC. You have never been to a Denny's like this one. The company opened it's first new store in years in North Myrtle Beach, SC. This Denny's looks like a 50's style diner, complete witha Wurlitizer Juke Box. This is the first of many to come. The Diner has 50's decor and stainless steel everywhere. The menu is different also. We have meatloaf, chili fries, and several different meals. Your quest will not be complete until you visit this Denny's. You can see pictures of the Diner in two restaurant trade magizines called the "Chain Leader" and "National Restaurant News.".
