Bordentown, New Jersey
- "Yesterday at a Denny's in Bordentown, NJ (Route 206 near Rte 130 jct.) we had a most disturbing experience. We've been to many Denny's nationwide and as a rule have had good experiences, however, here everything went wrong. The staff were detached and slow, they appeared unmotivated and there was a lack of attention to customers needs indicating a clear lack of supervison. There was no apparent way to determine who was in charge. I caution anyone in the vicinity of Bordentown to look elsewhere for breakfast. Ours took an hour and twenty minutes and the food was cold.." - written prior to September, 1999

Cherry Hill, New Jersey
- "Boyz II Men were at the Cherry Hill Denny's. They asked for a table in the back so that they wouldn't be bothered by fans. The thing that they did'n't realize was that no one at 2:30 AM in Denny's knew who they were. Nor did any of us care. So they just left." - written prior to September, 1999

- July 9, 2004 - "I worked at the Cherry Hill Denny's before I walked off the job. ( they sat me 60 people in ten minutes, and then instead of helping me, they sat at the counter and laughed, so I stuck them with the people by leaving and never coming back.) Yeah, that reviewer is absolutely right, celebrities got ignored there, we knew who they were, we didn't care. We saw plenty there, we got jaded. By the way, they don't tip (celebrities), cheap bastards."

East Brunswick, New Jersey
- "Actually this was my wifes hang out so these are her fellings on the sacred temple, Her High School days and nights wouldn't have been as great without it, if she wasn't blowing of Gym for a Super Bird, she was ditching Math for a Strawberry shake, and at night it was the best place to go if you are 16, drunk, and have a bad case of the munchies." - written prior to September, 1999

- "The Denny's in East Brunswick, NJ is absolutely the best place in the world to go! I can't even count the wonderful nights my friends and I have sat in there for hours. We were actually attempted to stay there all night long, with magazines, and coloring books. First of all there is a bus boy who looks like Elvis, second of all there is the best waitress Tina, who brings us croutons, french dressing, and saltines(for some reason a Denny's tradition. we have contests to see how many saltines we can eat in a minute), many many Mr. Pibbs(which by the way, Denny's is the only place that has Mr. Pibb). This Denny's is more crowded at 3:00 AM than at any other time of the day. It just has to be the best Denny's in the world! Thanks for making a page dedicated to Denny's!" - written prior to September, 1999

Lawrenceville, New Jersey
- "In late 1991/early 1992 I was a senior in college just outside Trenton, NJ. A couple of guys from my house decided to go out to Denny's to get those free holographic baseball cards. I went along because I was hungry. Anyway, we headed down 95 South and across the state line into PA to visit a Denny's that was nestled amongst a strip of other restaurants somewhere near Woodbourne or Newton, PA. Anyway, as we got closer to the Denny's traffic slowed to a near halt, and we could see smoke just off the exit we we angling for. One of the restaurants was on fire! The exit was closed off by the friendly (ahem) PA state police and we were unable to ascertain which establishment was ablaze. Thus spurned, we headed back to NJ and the Denny's on Rte. 1 in Lawrenceville where I got a Jeff Bagwell hologram card (which I traded for a ride home) along with my Grand Slam and Coke. And everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief while watching the 11 o'clock news ... it turns out it was only a local eatery that had been consumed by the blaze." - written prior to September, 1999

Marlton, New Jersey
- "Memories from a youthful (mid-80's) visit to a Denny's located next to Pep Boys in Marlton, NJ on Rte. 70 West still linger in my cranium. My high school friend and I defaced an issue of a Avengers comic book while feasting on pancakes ... we disliked the issue because it was the epilogue to Marvel's horrid Secret Wars II mini-series. This was one a series of comics we 're-wrote,' though most notably the only public skewering in our series. A sad denouement to the story - a recent (July 1996) visit to the same site revealed an abandoned building instead of the original historic restaurant. There's nothing sadder than the husk of a boarded up Denny's, with the blacked outline of the logo still hovering where it once glowed from the side of the edifice." - written prior to September, 1999

- July 9, 2004 - "I hung out in the Marlton Denny's, good crowd, good coffee, good conversation. Occasionally my buds and I would need to bust a head or two, the management knew what we were doing, they didn't raise a fuss as long as our 'exercise' took place in the parking lot. There's a lot of stories involved with the MarltonDenny's not the least of which is the world's oldest busboy'Lenny.' He's doing time now for his part in the Rabbi Nuelander murder case. He mentions Marlton Denny's in his confession; http://www.southjerseynews.com/neulander/jenoff.html . And he's not the only convicted Murderer connected to Marlton Denny's.Should I tell you more or didI scare you off? There's also stories of drug trafficking, gay and straight sex (In the Denny's itself.) Insanity, religious conversion, death, cowardice, and a wacky chess tournament that never happened. There was also a world famous Metal band called 'Eye-Tooth' that never existed that got it's 'start' in Marlton Denny's. That will take some explaining, we invented the band to get rid of a 'know-it-all." He's probably still trying to find their first album "Metal Morphosis" or "MM" to those in the 'know.'"

Mt. Laurel, New Jersey
- "A while ago I was sitting at a Denny's in Mt. Laurel (NJ). When in walks the Welsh National Guard. Each member was carrying a case of Budweiser, and a bunch of them had Elvis tattoos. Who knew Elvis was so popular in Wales. In any case they were all quite friendly." - written prior to September, 1999

Stratford, New Jersey
- July 10, 2002 - "As a veteran Denny's waitress,(Oh, the glamour!),I must say you have missed the now extinct best Denny's ever. Stratford, NJ franchise owned branch, where the Echelon Mallrats made their home.It will be sorely missed. But when are you gonna get to the other living Denny's in South jersey?Turnersville and Blackwood are still alive and giving coronaries with the chicken strips from hell. Heehehehe.Yes I may be insane but I WAS a Denny's waitress after all."

Toms River, New Jersey
- " I used to visit the Denny's in Toms River New jersey on Brick Blvd. all the tine when i went to community college there--- I once ordered a veggie sammich and there was no indication of any meat on the menu and when they brought it to me they ever so stealthily hid strips of bacon under the guacomole.... Damn them... Thats a shitty denny's- The service was slow- and the waitress was very mean.... And the cook is all WAY.... heh heh--- Im relocating to Ocean City Maryland- incidentally staying with a guy who owns a coffee shop and the cook there was in a Denny's commercial(the one where he's walking around asking for Lenny)--- Anyhow---me and the crew will be traveling witht he Furthur Festival this summer- and Denny's is definitely good tour food---cheap for dirty hippies---heh heh....anyway---Dont put me on the Mailing list because I will not be receiving email here because I am relocating...---I would love to be- but I just cant at this time--I will however be on it once i get my new addy in MD.... Oh- I was also at the Denny's in Clifton park,NY this past April while on Ratdog Tour- and the service was horribly slow---it took them 25 minutes just to get around to asking our order- and by then Heather was yelling...hahahaha pretty funny- their omelets kick some ass- but the some fries are very shiny with grease--- gives you acne just looking at them..... Oh well- we will be looking for the das Bus this summer if youll be out on the road- Well be in a psychedelic Conversion Van with the MD plates" - written prior to September, 1999

Vineland, New Jersey
- "I have the distinction of living near one of the few Denny's in the world with it's own cocktail lounge. As one of the few places open 24 hours in our town, this Denny's came in handy late one night as my friends and I realized it was our friend Gino's birthday. Where else to go at 1 am, when you have to work the next day? Well our friendly waitress arranged to have all of the workers as well as all of the customers in the restaurant to sing "happy birthday" to Gino. Needless to say, Gino was somewhat embarrassed to have the entire Denny's poplulation of friends and strangers singing happy birthday to him. By the way, he got his free b-day ice cream treat too!" - written prior to September, 1999

- "greetings and salutations! =) my name is lisa. i live in nj. your page is DAMN cool, just like denny's. i go to denny's every friday, i'd ggo more often but my parents suck and dont let me go out on schoolnights. but denny's is like church or something. i HAVE to go. my freind ryan and i decided a while ago to start going like every friday and we bring all these other people with us. i love it there, even if the service sucks and the coffee isnt the best. our denny's is the one on landis avenue in vineland, new jersey. if you ever come to new jersey you should check it out. maybe you'll see me if you go on a friday. not that youd like, know me or recognise me. i just cant believe that there is someone else who is so enthralled with denny's. there are plenty of resteraunts closer to my house, but i drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to denny's for coffee. i hope someday youll come to vineland, to our denny's by the day's inn. if you ever do, write me a note and maybe ill see you. your bus is cool too!! im jealous of you for that. i have anice vw bus though. im going to paint it orange. i havent named it yet. anyway. im sure you get lots of email so you probably will not reply to this, but i sure hope you do!!" - written prior to September, 1999

Woodbridge, New Jersey
- "It is a classic as Denny's go, 45 min. wait at 2:30 am, brown lettuce, and line of blue hairs (old people) every sunday morning. It was "the hang out" for most of my growing up years, (with tear in eye) my life wouldn't of been the same without it. As far as working there, it wasn't much as a job, but hey, it was Denny's, plus I stole a case of steak and shrimp every week." - written prior to September, 1999
