Biloxi, Mississippi

August 17, 2000 - "Over the course of two weeks (a total of six different days) I have tried unsuccessfully to dine at your location on HWY 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi (five of times, there was Òstanding room onlyÓ waiting to be seated); (time number six, it was not ÒthatÓ crowded, but after waiting a long while for someone to come out to seat me, I gave up and left) ---- my time is valuable, too.
I thought this afternoon I would give it one last shot - because I was in the area in which I was in on my way back home. Like I said, ÒONE LAST SHOTÓ.
There were only a few customers already seated. Great, I thought. I was seated promptly and had a wonderful waitress named ÒDeAnnÓ, but the food was worse than bad. I ordered the skillet with chicken, onions, peppers, eggs, and also an order of the fries with cheese. The picture of the fries looked great!
The fries with cheese was nothing like the picture - the cheese, which was melted on the fries made the fries stick together like cement - I had to use a knife to cut them. But I did not complain until the skillet came immediately after that. The entire skillet meal was ruined because the COOK burned the onions and everything tasted just like burned onions.
Also, salsa was supposed to have been included, but it was never brought out. I did not bring this to their attention because I could not eat the skillet anyway. The ÒmanagerÓ there had me pay for the fries with cheese because I had Òeaten most of itÓ. I even took her back to my table and showed her how ÒHARDÓ the cheese and fries were. It made no difference. She said I had waited to long to eat it. I began to eat it as soon as I got it - what more could I have done?
I showed the waitress the mess. She offered to have the meal redone or have me order something else, but I couldnÕt stand the thought of trying to eat something else after the taste of burnt onions in everything.
This is terribly unjust! Stay away from Denny's on the Beach in Biloxi! Visit the one in Ocean Springs on Tucker Road!"

June 5, 2001 - "After driving from St. Louis to Biloxi and seeing nothing but Waffle Houses, it was a great relief to encounter possibly the Denny's with the finest view in all of America. The Biloxi Denny's sits across a 4-lane highway from a white sand beach & the Gulf of Mexico. You can sit in a booth and watch the waves roll in, it's rather remarkable. The restaurant's decor is quite modern & the interior was big enough. Waitstaff were competent but not really that fast. No WAY, either, at least not that I could tell. I guess that's about it except to add that they make a pretty good Grand Slam at this Denny's."

"if you happen to wind up in jackson ms on a sat. night, DON'T GO THERE! as it is breakfast at the apollo, and if you make a comment to the manager in the fact that you did not appreciate the manner in which a waitress was treated by the ugly guy seating patrons and serving coffee, your butt may end up in the small town of raymond at the penal farm for the night, where you will be stripped searched, thrown in a cell with really bad guys,and wind up with a criminal record all because as i found out later in court,the guy seating people and serving coffee , a jackson police officer is the MANAGERS' HUSBAND! and by the way, why its' called a penal farm i don't know because my penal didn't grow bro. please don't put me on any list, just thought you might want to be informed-cool site, i attempted all the waffle houses at one time--you got to get the directory and have them sign off for you!" - written prior to September, 1999
