Boca Raton, Florida
- October 3, 2003 - "Went to breakfast yesterday, sent complaints to Denny's, the Palm Beach County Environmental Health Department and the Florida DPR Hotel and Restaurant Division....also dropped a line to the Denny's Franchise Convention manager on their website as I was shocked to see that the National convention next month is in Boca..... why was I shocked and why all the complaints? MOLD and lots of it, disgusting, smelly, rank and not just a little bit. Waitress seated my daughter and I in a booth, I immediately got a bad odor of mold like a cellar in New Jersey. I looked at the window sill, obvious dirty and growing black mold. I looked up and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, not just in one spot, but all around the dining room. The waitress offered to move us, I pointed out tables not near the walls, she said it was "worse up there". Another booth on the other side of the restaurant was no better. We left. A couple of waitresses were out front having a smoke, said they knew it was a problem but obviously not enough of one, or they were unaware of the health hazards, both to customers and themselves. One asked me to call OSHA for them. No one from Denny's has bothered to reply to my complaint, so hopefully this post will warn people until they raze this building...."

- "It is my duty to inform you about the Denny's on Brandon Blvd. (HWY 60) here in Brandon, Fl. I must admit this is one of the BEST Denny's that I have ever been too (Except for the one in Singapore). St. Al does not work here but the coffee and food made up for that. The service was fairly good and the cleanliness is above average. I give this Denny's a 2 thumbs up!!!!" - written prior to September, 1999

- September 18, 1999 - "Just left this denny's for the last time. Food not bad, waitress pleasant, but if I had used the bathroom prior to eating we would have gone to Perkins. My wife, daughter and I were sitting at the table at 5:45 PM Monday evening and almost the only ones there. I asked Ruby (my wife) why the place was empty, please understand it use to be crowded, but neither of us could justify the question. THEN I went to the men's room. Never mind the comments I could make, just believe me, it has not been properly cleaned in quite along time. Wish I could say otherwise."

- "I had a very terrible experience in this one location. I apologize for not knowing the store # but the address of it is 198 E. Semoran Blvd, Casselberry Florida 32707. The horrible experience was one so horrid that I personally took one of their free "comment" cards, and not only commented but wrote a business letter to the GM listed on the card and told in length about the evening and the service, etc. Several days later I received a letter in return from this GM which was, in my opinion, a JOKE. The letter was not on company letterhead, the letter was not even TYPED. It was a handwritten letter scribbled in awful handwriting on the front and back of a torn out sheet of note book paper. In the letter he was apologetic and sincere, but, "At present I have no coupons, but your next visit can be on us, call me and let me know if you'll be returning and I'll set something up for you for your next visit." He also commented, "I apologize to you, and thank you for letting me know whats going on in my restaraunt at nite" (I typed this as it is written).
I am in the retail business, very related to the food industry as far as customer relations is concerned, and know how customers should be treated. Quite frankly I am not in search of a free meal in this case, just an educated explanation as to how someone who writes letters to customers as if he's writing to his long lost Aunt Bertha is in the position of GM. I don't recommend anyone visit this location...not only is the service awful but the building itself seems like it should be condemned." - written prior to September, 1999

- "I'm not surprised there are a few entries here from the Tampa area and Pinellas County. There really is nothing open in Pinellas after 2 am besides Denny's, except for the Perkins which is overpriced and has none of that greasy charm and reliabilty of Denny's, where the menu is replicated in every other State. I've had a few interesting experiences at Denny's with different people, but my brother and I were big fans of the Denny's on Countryside Blvd. and US 19. It was unfortunately often filled late at night with a surplus of middle class kids posing as something "alternative" who all looked and acted the same, and made too much noise and since they were quite impressed with their annoying selves, and harrassed the waitresses. This, along with accompanying policemen, ruined the Countryside Denny's. I saw an entry on this page about the Denny's on Harn and US 19, and I must say that this Denny's is way too small and therefore not the ideal place to capture the Denny's atmosphere. However from one odd (rare) experience I had, that fortunately only 3 other people could describe, I can attest to the fact that the Denny's menu looks really amusing and the waiters all the more entertaining when one is being influenced by certain substances. Don't order orange juice in this situation. But Denny's at 4 am in a completely sober state is way better than Disney World or the beach, or anything else in Florida, for all you future tourists. Nothing beats cheap food." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Sadly, it is true......the normally enjoyable experiance of visiting the Denny's on US19 and Countryside Blvd. in Clearwater, Florida has been ruined for me. You see, there are numerous local hoodlams who frequent the late night hang out, and they have set a pathetic reputation for all high school and college age students who walk in the door. The manager at this location has quite an attitude, but for some reason, you just can't walk out in frustration. (I'd like to say it is because the food is too good, but in reality it's just because the only other place to go at 2am is Stake 'n Shake.) Another annoyance about this location is their strong theory of not opening one whole side of the restuarant.....even when you have a large group and there are no large tables on the "open side". Sometimes it would be nice to sit with your friends, instead of waving to them across various other tables. In defense of the Denny's I often call home late at night, there is always at least one incredibly happy and carefree waitress who will be thrilled to have a pleasant conversation with you. All in all, if you avoid the rude and cranky manager, and seek out the smiling lady that is somewhere close at hand, you are bound to have an enjoyable evening." - written prior to September, 1999

- October 12, 2003 - "I am the New Late night manager of Denny's #1034 in Clearwater, Florida across from Country Side Mall , I think the wild and crazy kids that hang out at all hours of the night , though yes quite loud at times, are a pleasure to have around. They add to the fun of the job and to the late night experience. I mean really what do you expect at 2:30am a nice quite dinning experience? I think not. You might get that most of the day but durring the Bar rush. I think not. One last point: the group of young adults that hang at this Denny's are in a safe place and well liked by staff and management. If my kids were out all night I would be very pleased to know they were at Denny's."

- "Denny's #1582....
You know the only one in a store who is "REALLY" held accountable and who takes "their store" personal...is the GM.
If you come to our store, look up Lorna or have the manager on duty call her at home and we will make your visit one to write about....I think what you are doing is great... although the few negative messages probably erk Denny's corporate....If my wife doesn't pick up your meals...I will...just don't bring a bus full.... - January 2, 2001 - "HELLO-I AM FROM CORAL SPRINGS FLORIDA, IN WHICH A DENNY'S RESIDES HERE ON UNIVERSITY DRIVE. ÊNEEDLESS TO SAY-THIS IS A VERY NICE DENNY'S. ÊLIKE ALL IT ISNT THE CLEANEST RESTAURANT, AND THE FOOD ISN'T THE BEST, BUT IT IS GOOD, TASTY AND ALWAYS FRIENDLY. ÊI HAVE YET TO SEE THE WAITER THERE WHO REALLY REPRESENTS WEIRD AL, HOWEVER, WHEN MY FRIENDS AND I GO TO DENNYS WE HARASS THE WAITRESS'S TO THE FULLEST AND THEY ALWAYS PLAY ALONG AND HAVE A GOOD TIME. ÊI JUST WANTED TO REPRESENT THE CORAL SPRINGS DENNYS. ÊPEACE OUT"

- "Hi...I live in Crystal River, Florida...and I can tell you that our Denny's here is just great....I use to work at Denny's on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Florida, and it was great too...but the one here in Crystal River is the best Denny's I have ever been to. The waitresses are so nice and the food is terrific...also waiting time is minimal. The whole restaurant is very clean, and if you visit Riley's Pub next door...you can order Denny's food from there and they will bring it to you. I just love it...Crystal River Denny's...you are to be commended for excellence!!!" - written prior to September, 1999

- "One of the Denny's in Daytona Beach, FL is one of the greatest Denny's in the world. It's truly a Denny's o' love. Many people have fell in love there. My best friend even fell in love with a waiter. The waiters are classic, though I don't see many that look like Weird Al. This is the Denny's on A1A by Bellair Plaza, right across from the tourist infested beach. You should come here on your Denny's tour." - written prior to September, 1999

Good food and more than willing to bring you lemons! I have no complaints about any of the Denny's in Daytona Beach!!"

Eustis, Florida
- "Well I only want to warn that Denny's # 6505 in Eustis Fl. is a dirty , slow service, broken restroom mess. We visited 5 Denny's on this trip accrossed Rt. 10 and found only one to return to ( lake City La.) It is sad that this chain has no one keeping things up to par. The franchises of most should be revoked." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Banana split but no bananas, cherry pie with no cherries, waitress with a terrible cough and not enough sense to turn her head or cover her mouth. Custard pie (custard turning sour) and turkey dinner with turkey too long dead with dressing just as old and petrifying. Great location, lousy restaurant." - written prior to September, 1999

- May 17, 2002 - "Just for the heck of it, my wife and I decided one evening to try our "favorite" denny's one more time. We were not disappointed. The fat waitress still had her deep cough after at least two years. She leaned over on her elbows onto our table to rake our orders and coughed again and again, cigarettes I suppose. I asked if they still had the same manager and she said, "yes" as she glanced over her shoulder laughing in her deep throated, guttural laugh as the boss swished by, a deep black with a braided pony tail. My wife thought he was sweet. The food was awful, the service no better and Denny's again lived up to it's reputation. We laughed as we left since we knew it was a crap shoot when we went in. for the last time. "

- "My name is Aaron Belchamber, I am a server at the first ever Denny's Classic Diner ("DC Diner") here in Fort Myers Florida. Let's not get into the fact I live just down the street and it's convenient, I really do like the place! It's owned by the York family, who came up with the idea, and its success has been phenomonal since it opened!
We do more business at this Denny's than the other five in the area combined! It's a 50's style diner, built from stainless steel and it is 50's Americana Tackiness through and through. When it's not so busy, if some particular song blurts out of the jukebox, we all have to stop what we're doing and do a dance!
The crowds come in and never know what to expect, not to mention the food is pretty good, too! Whenever "Tequila" comes on, the Diner is painted with servers doing the Pee Wee Herman. A month ago, we had 2 weeks of one hour dance lessons from a professional choreographer to get us going. We are always trying to keep the place crowded. Last week we had Elvis in the building, singing all night. At 3 in the morning, it's sometimes the most rockinest hangout we have in this sleepy little town of Fort Myers. Need more info? Email me back, you will REGRET not coming to this Denny's!
By the way, on Sundays, I serve people on my rollerblades -- a kind of modern twist to the fifties!" - written prior to September, 1999

- June 22, 2004 - "It is well known here that the Dennys on University avenue is the nastiest, dirtiest, most disgusting Dennys ever. IF that weren't enough, they are also very rude. You are better of going to Perkins. If you are feeling adventurous, try the "43rd Street Deli". The breakfasts are tremendously tasty and even cheaper than Dennys"

- "As mentioned, the Orange Park Blanding Blvd. Denny's is the swinging place to hang at nighttime...Be sure to say hi to Dee, everyone's favorite waitress. But, be aware, earlier in the evening it is the place to be for underage hipsters smoking cloves (much as I was at their age). This is the place to go at 3am, however...The only other places open are (AAACK! IHOP and Waffle House)." - written prior to September, 1999

- April 8, 2002 - "Woooooohoooo!! As a complete and self-admitted Denny's addict, I had great pleasure in stumbling across your fantastic site! It is my boyhood dream (and I'm still 16) to travel across America with my best friend Emma in a van, hunting down every Denny's, Ponderosa, Wild Jack's, Shell's and Popeye Joe's! You see, I live in the UK, but every year, my Dad and I travel to Florida where we are made to feel welcome every morning for two weeks at the Denny's on Highway 192, Kissimmee. Hell, we know every waitress' name by heart! We always sit at the bar and order one of those huge glasses of juice and a Grand Slam.....mmmmmmmmm. Only, as reliable as Denny's is (especially a 24-hour one) we were SHOCKED to arrive at the same Denny's on Christmas Eve, after eargerly anticipating another fantastic meal, to find it in darkness! It was closed! We had to make do with a sandwich and some dorito's!! Well thats my 2-cents - hopefully I will follow in your footsteps in years to come, and hopefully there'll be even more restaurants to visit!! By the way, is there anyway I can get my hands on some cool Denny's merchandise? I don't mind paying!"

Lake Buena Vista, Florida
- "There is a Denny's in Lake Buena Vista, FL (near Disney) that I have to mention..... At 2:30 a.m est myself and several others entered the fine establishment we all call Denny's (desperately seeking coffee) and was denied boarding due to lack of a night cook. We demanded a booth (with threat of 'virtual violence') and even offered to pour our own java, and was still denied. The place was empty and was told it would be at least a 25-minute wait for seating. ALL WE WANTED WAS SOME COFFEE!! We subsequently left and went to another type of all-night establishment that rhymes with *Jerkins* the coffee was bad there but, hey, at least we could get some coffee!! Just thought if you had to steer clear of just one Denny's, this should be the one.." - written prior to September, 1999

Land O' Lakes, Florida
- "The Denny's just off of I-75 in Land O' Lakes, Florida is one of my personal favorites. It's halfway attatched to some sleazy motel or other and has the usual amount of "Denny-ness" (ex. waitresses named Wanda, gay hosts, creepy cooks and downright bad service.) But, This Denny's and I go way back... One of my personal favorite memories was as a young Denny's Connesiuer (spelled quite incorrectly, I'm sure) when, for some unkown reason, they were all out of Catsup. And for, yet another unkown reason, the manager that had been sent to the grocery store to purchase Catsup decided that one bottle was sufficient. Although some of the Denny's patrons were less than desirable in appearance and odor, we all shared this bottle of catsup in one of those priceless "Denny's Moments."
Another of my favorite memories from this Denny's was the day that Hurricane Georges was predicted to hit. While everyone else was either huddled inside their boarded up homes or drunk off their ass at some hick hurricane party, my friends and I decided to spend our last days at Denny's. After an hour of pouring rain, lightning and some pretty hellish wind, I called my mom to inform her that I'd probably have to ride out the storm (which was expected to last 2 days) in the Denny's (needless to say, I was thrilled). A few hours later, the hurricane suddenly turned North and left us alone ... Then we realized that we still didn't have our food... Good ol Denny's...
By the way... As of now, there are no WAY's present at this Denny's. However, one woman looks like a cross between a white Oprah and Austin Powers (the teeth). I'll keep everyone updated on that situation... My friend Laura tried to steal a poster but wasn't too suave... they got her license plate number and called the cops... can you believe those vengeful bastards? after all we've meant to each other... Anyway, she was made to give back the poster and apologize." - written prior to September, 1999

- "I'm writing to complain. Could you please send me an address to write to.We love to eat at Dennys but the only one close to us is the Denny's, 2480 N. Citrus Blvd., Leesburg, Fl.
Our complaint is you can not sit in there it is kept so cold you would need an overcoat to survive. We have even went and ask the manager to turn it down and make it warmer. The waitress says he will but the he never does . The last time we were there we got up and walked out. It used to be so crowded you had to sit down and wait but no more now there's plenty of room. So very sad as it is a very nice to eat. We used to take our friends to eat there but they don't like the cold either so we don't anymore. Most times we go down the street to either Sonny's Bar-BBQ or to Bob Evans. At least they are warm. So if you can please send us an address to write to." - written prior to September, 1999

- April 1, 2005 - "Interesting site... I unfortunately am not a big fan of Denny's. Although we were reminiscing last night about how we used to love their Mother Butler Pies, which is how I found this sitelooking for them. This love has come and gone because if they still serve them they don't taste the same or have the same variety. There used to be a Mother Butlers next door to a Denny's in Ft. Lauderdale. A separate building where you could go and have "PIE" yum you could eat in or take a pie home but no longer. Wonder what happened. The Denny's in Margate is a disappointment. It seems it has an odor of wet or mildewed carpet that never goes away. My daughter likes Denny's, kid's pizza, so sometimes I do go. But usually not until I have tried to talk her out of it."

- "Hi, just surfing and found your site. I live in Melbourne, Fl and there are two Denny's here, have only been to the one on RT 1 beside the intercoastal waterways. Anyway it is a great place to eat. Don't frequent it as much as before I got married to Fred, but he will take me for Thursday soup --CHEESE!! I am looking for any secrets about how to clone this!! I fell in love with Denny's in Akron, Ohio/ Actually, I thought I was in love (not with Fred, hence the conflict??disenchantment with Denny's on his part). and spent many hours-even all night there talking with a guy who was "just my friend (oh how I hated those words). I have ordered the sampler early in evening, steak and eggs after 10PM then coffee and pie, then breakfast again, just so I didn't feel like we were taking up too much space. (Yes, I usually paid. he became "better friends" with a younger woman and married her!!!but after I met/married Fred).
Always tried to leave a good tip every couple of hours so the servers didn't have to wait on us all night for 2 bucks. Anyway, I love Denny's. And I like too that I can go to different ones , ie on vacation, and order what I like! Went to Myrtle beach (years ago) and saw the ties made by the Kids!!Wanted school bus desperately for a friend (a real friend). Couldn't get one, tried in Akron when got back, and they started selling them to the public--remember that whole scene? I got it for Tim and gave it to his kids to give him on Christmas (everyone was excited). Yes I have good memories of Denny's. My kids can always get, "home cooking like my mom never made" there or McDonald's!!!!!!Well, I am going to investigate the rest of your site, to see if any hint of cheese soup recipe is there. If you know a server who will divulge the secret (it must be a mix-tastes the same in diff. places), I would appreciate it.
I have e-mailed www.topsecretrecipes hoping they have a clone, but haven't heard back, also will check out his books. Thanks for being here, and enjoy!!!! " - written prior to September, 1999

Merrit Island, Florida
- "Denny's first contact was in Merritt Island Florida, where I grew up. This is where I first learned to appreciate a restraunt where you could know in advance how what you were going to eat would taste. This is also where the concept of Denny number 5 was created. I think it was a group of us (in the 15 year old range, back in 197?) trying to resolve why the coffee tasted better if you ordered somthing to eat. I have not been to this Denny's in over a decade, but I will probably stop by when I visit Florida. This was of course the old style Denny's design. I even believe I saw the Wierd Al character here once, but that was a long time ago. I will try to add more areas later. I'm sure my wife thinks I am on the same quest as the host of this page. But I just don't like the post truck stop heaving when I travel. And while at home I like to eat out on a $20 bill every now and then." - written prior to September, 1999

- January 5, 2005 - "We were at a Denny's before Xmas in Merritt Island Florida. Well I have to say its the worse ever. There were 5 tables in a row that sat dirty for over 30 minutes and when they did clean off the dishes they did not wiped them till they needed them. It was not busy there either. Also the waitress was not a good one at all she was very abrupted when I asked for wheat toast, and I got white with my order.Had this face on like why am I there and she has to wait on us. Never came to see if we needed anything. But most of all the dirty place it was I will never eat at another Denny's again. I was hoping that their was a site to email right to the owener of this Denny's. So if so please let me know."

There is a Denny's right accross from campus that's home to many a hungry soul who cannot take dorm food any more. Some other pluses. In the Greater Miami area, there are at least 20 locations. And of course - the best reason of all - check the weather forecast for today... I believe it's something like partly cloudy, high 80, low 70... Not many places where you can find weather like that this time of year ;-)" - written prior to September, 1999

- "Hi! I'm writing this lines to express my opinion about the customer service and food quality I've received from one of your restaurant located in Ludlam Rd with 180th st in Miami, Fl 33015. First, we oderred a kid's meal for my little son and we ask for the "fun pack" and the waitress called Rosa told us: "we don't have more anymore" how can that be posible in famous restaurant, the customer service from that lady was terrible! I've had ordered a chicken fried strips and the meat was very dry. I hope you will consider my opinion because the customer is the priority of any business. - November 17, 2000 - "At three am, the choices of resterants are limited, but in Miami their is always one around the corner. The one across from the Univeristy of Miami (1150 S. DIXIE HWY.), is pretty good, but the waiteress's are very slow and sometimes forgetful. There is another Dennys further up the street (10205 S. DIXIE HWY.), I don't like that one because they kick you out if you talk. The one at 3850 SW 137TH AVE is really really nice. You can fall asleep in there and no one will bother you. My all time favorite Denny's is at 15255 SW 137TH AVE, you can talk as loud as you want and they won't kick you out. I always order strawberry topping w/ whipped cream, and buffalo chicken strips."

Alan:Ultimate Omlette with Coca-Cola.
Sign: it is a old like logo. Not a really old sign, it is a vaucum formed sign with a diamond pattern, and the words "allways open" in Yellow on red. Above the store is the 90 like logo (a mesh between old and new Decor: Booths were nice and blue cloth backs and dark tan vinyl botoms. Booths were whitegrey woodpannel, with Blue Formica accents. Carafes:are of the newer style and are made of glass $3.29 per carafe Store History:This location used be called "Yesterday's"it was a 1920's like resturant that made it's own ice cream.I kind of liked that. it was converted into Denny's about 88 or so. Well this resturant is very clean, and waitstaff are very nice here. it has a front porch which is kind of nice.
An interesting point is that i eat here enough that Ralph knows me by name. And there is a table i am usually seat. bad luck, someone was in it when i arrived. :(
The Coca-Cola is well mixed with not too much carbonation, and the right amount of Coke. :)
The Ultimate Omllet was very good. I am susprised, because i usually eat what was known as the Denny Burger Combo, which is fine, but not great. This was super and i really mean that :)
Uniforms: most are the Hawaiian type shirts. my Waiter allways wears bluegrey suspenders.
WAY:allmost, well it seems that Ralph could be an uncle of Al. There is a resemblance of Al but not enough to be him :)
Load: Hardly anyone in the place. just me and some Highway Patrolmen in the Non Smoking section. most people were at the counter. I may embark on a Denny's Trip too someday :) in the middle of the unit on the celing is a dome lighting array. allright, could use a few new florssent lighttubes :)
All in all, this unit is very clean and the wait staff are friendly. not a problem as in the majority of Denny's. The food is good, and not greasy.
Location: It's 2mi north of Coastland Center Mall (the only mall) on the northbound side Of US41 (Tamiami Trail)
City is 150mi south of Tampa and 100mi west of Ft. Lauderdale, on the west coast. this unit is the only one in Collier County, the nearest one to this one is 15mi north on US41 in Bonita Springs, I will be doing a review of that unit as well.
Freestuff:none (didn't really try though)
My Rating is 4 out of 5 forks." - written prior to September, 1999

- October 8, 2000 - "The closest Denny's to my hometown. All the waitresses are 40 year old country moms trying to make a buck to support their kids. Give them props. Food sucks though. Service is ok. Minus the gay cook that tried to seduce my little brother. (No kidding!) They do have good cherry cokes though. They make the best pies also. They have semi decent orange juice and AWESOME shakes. They're normally very busy though."

Ocoee, Florida
- "A sleeply little town just outside Orlando limits. That is Ocoee. And of course we have a Denny's which I am so luckly employed at. I used to eat there as a child and through the years after various school functions. Then came the driving years and Dennys was (Until they opened Wal-Mart 24-7 June 1, 1995) the ONLY thing open in Ocoee past 10:00pm. So on goes life and love and various dates to my beloved Denny's. Where I became friendly with the waitress Maryann. Who later got me the job as graveyard hostess 11pm-6am at least 5 days a week.. In Ocoee I see it all from the left over downtowncrowd, , the drunkin' redneck high school kids, to the locals who leave Vicki's Place at 2 and arive at Denny's at 2:15. So if you are ever in Ocoee round about Midnight and you want some Great service and alright food, skip Perkins and come see me at Denny's. And yes we make $2.13 an hour and so what if we get overtime for holidays $3.19 isn't that great either. So please I ask of you at all Denny's everywhere PLEASE TIP GOOD. Always smiling and friendly (even at 4:30am)" - written prior to September, 1999

Which include harrassment, retaliation, bias and predjudice. The one thing you can say about the Ocee Florida Denny's is that they treat everyone the same. LIKE CRAP@@@@@@"

Orange Park, Florida
- December 29, 1999 - "On Tuesday Dec. 28th I and my wife tried to have a meal at the Denny’s on Blanding in Orange Park in Florida. I say tried because I never got my meal and she did not get all of hers either.
We arrived at 7:03 PM ( I know the times because I checked my watch at the start and then often as the evening passed.) and were seated. The restraint was nearly empty with 3 tables occupied and only 3 or maybe 4 employees in evidence. I ordered eggs Benedict and she the grand slam omelet with English muffins. We were served at 7:35 PM the following: an incomplete omelet (part of the usual ingredients were missing) with no English muffin and the eggs Benedict without the ham (or Canadian bacon) with the poached eggs over cooked. I was forced to take my eggs to the kitchen myself because we could not find anyone to help us with our problem.
At 8:00 PM I went looking for anyone to talk to and went into the kitchen and asked to speak to the manager (who appeared to be the only one there to be able to cook) and I was told that he was busy and he would come when it was convenient for him. I asked to talk to the manager at 8:05 PM and was told that he was busy and he would see me when it was convenet. He seemed to be cooking eggs Bennidict. I went back to the table and the waiter brought out a plate that I did not let him serve and said the I needed to talk to the manager. Again I was told that he was busy. He would not even answer my wife when she asked about her long missing English muffin. At this time, we had been in a mostly empty restraunt an hour and they could not even serve an English muffin.
We waited 5 more minutes and then we left without seeing any employ at all. I did not have a bill to pay and I left no money.
I told my neighbor this story and he laughed and said that “every one knew that that Denny’s had both bad service and indefferent food.
I like Denny’s eggs Bennidict and my wife likes all the breakfests. We will never go into that store and we will tell every one we know about this."

- "I live in Belgium, Europe and I have visited Denny's once when I was in Florida a few years ago. It was the Denny's restaurant in Orlando, on Ocean Drive (but I could be wrong, about the Ocean Drive part, that is)! I don't remember what I had for breakfast, but I still remember I enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly and kept calling everybody "honey" which I kinda liked! She definately cheered up my morning and I will certainly visit Denny's once more when I visit the USA again, which I hope will be very soon. Bye the way, I really enjoyed the coffee!!!! :)" - written prior to September, 1999

- "the absolute best denny's in orlando, florida has to be the denny's on colonial drive across from the fashion square mall. if you go there at about 3am on the weekends you can see all the cross dressers who go there after their bar closes down the road. it's an endless show of odd people who dress funny and use the internet a lot." - written prior to September, 1999

- "My hubby was in Orlando for week and says that Denny's seemed to be the best place to dine for the value and quality of the food. I thought there was a Denny's website--maybe you should have a link there. I've been looking for it and came across yours. We'll be vacationing in Orlando for 2 weeks in 2 weeks and I'm sure we'll go to Denny's since there are 5 of us to feed so I will return with my opinion. I have eaten at Denny's in Galveston Texas and it was just dandy." - written prior to September, 1999

- "I must confess I was born and raised on Denny's food. The one I have attended since 1989 to this date just happens to be the same one my mother worked at as a cook. Store #628 8706 S. Orange Ave Orlando Fl. 32809 (407) 857-3449. It is on the corner of Sand Lake Drive and Orange Ave. south of Downtown Orlando. It still retains the look from when it was built in 1983. The best booth there is table 11 in (of corse) the smoker section. My favorite server goes by the name of Sue. The food is great. The Rasberry tea is top knotch in my book. And they have no problems about my friends and I "camping" (industry term used down here for all nighters who stay for ungodly hours) there at the store. I also attend store # 591 at 3162 E. Colonial Dr. Orl Fl. 32803 (407) 896-2803 across the street by a mall called Fashion Square. Franklin Jennings another person who wrote you about #591 is correct about the cross dressing show. Interesting how a brick floor next to the bar is converted to a "catwalk" for the crossdress runway models. Meeting up with fellow friends and showing off their latest design. The place get so packed that they placed a 30 minute sitting limmit if you do not buy food there. Such is business. But along with the diverse crowd of people from Gen-X to Baby-Boomers and of corse the Elders at daybreak. Denny's Store #591 reminds my friends and I that we are not alone in this world. There are others like yourself and the many others who have written in their reports on their favorite Denny's "spot" that comfort me that in this changing world of trend-based market economics and cyberspace, It all still leads back to that "Holy Golden Shield in the Sky". Since half the time I only go in to drink rasburry tea, I go to my favorite one #628 table 11 at 1:00am. Sue is there with her warm smile and sassy attitude. Armed with me of corse is my 3 packs of Marlboro Cigs. And my box of Samporena X-Tras (Clove Cigs). Scientist my still try find a way to defy the laws of the Time-Space Continuum, But Denny's already owns the patent. ( The secret must be in the walls of the place, but only if you drink the coffee can the temporal displacement occour.) That is of corse still theroy." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Well, I love Denny's just as much as the next Jane Schmoe... but I have to give one bad review. I have visted many different Denny's in Orlando, FL. But one has stood out above all others... and not for good reasons. It is the Denny's that is down the street that is directly in front of Universal Studios theme park. Probably less than 500 ft from the entrance to the park. I was on my way to a nurses conference, and there was a Denny's just before the place I was going to, so we stopped. It took FOREVER to get our food, and when we did.. all the orders were wrong, and all our food was cold. On a schedule mind you, so we ate what we got, because we were hungry and needed to be going. A friend asked the waitress for a glass of milk, and when she got it... yes, you guessed it... it was sour. Not kind of sour... BIG time sour. Our waitress was very nice, and very apologetic. But it didn't make up for the kitchen problems, unfortunately. We refused to pay the bill, and before leaving I went and apologized to my waitress for the fact that we would not be paying. She said to me.. it's ok, they only make me pay for one of the meals, the rest is covered by the restaurant. I said "you're kidding.." she said no, and I asked to see the manager, they confirmed this statement. I said fine.. I'm still not paying. I turned to leave, and slipped the waitress $15 to cover her share and the tip and we all left." - written prior to September, 1999

- January 28, 2003 - "I ran across your web page and quite frankly it brought back alot of memmories back to me. Like the way management treat employees...I can tell you they are hard on them, but the one with the cushie job is the general manager, he are she sits in their little office on their phone chatting with either their girlfreinds are their co managers are yacking with their dis leader. I know that they are harder on the unit manager especaly if female, My daughter used to unit in orlando fl. for a franchise, her GM. was steve wasserman and they treated this kid like pure shit, they worked her 14 hours a day and accused her of stealing $100.00, and knowing that his other manager stole over $5000.00 they fired her for a employee stealing the money, why did they accuse her? One she was a woman,2 she was young and 3 she knew to much on her managers, she still works for dennys but a different franchise. The manager in question if a nice looking server was hired if she didn't sleep with him he fired her, also the G.M. was into the same. So each time I see a dennys comercial I think about the abuse one indures working for them. Cooks sweat over food, blow their noses eats off plates drops food and serves it. The servers are just as bad, watch em next time your in one, DO they WASH their hands are not???NO dirty approns, green food in unworking refrigerators, Makes me wish I was an inspector I shout a few of them down, So people if your reading these , in which i dought they will be published, don't eat at Dennys on OBT (Both) kississimi the one by sea world mainly orlando area, they are owned by the same, poor service bad food. Poor Management..............oh and when its time for inspection, they get warned in advance, so they clean all nite and make it look nice for the inspector. And if your planing on eating down south SAME franchise, they took shoneys and turned into dennys, in which they should of left them shoneys..... wish to remain anoynamous for they will atack my daughter"

- September 8, 1999 - "It's been a while since I checked you guys out. (like two years!) I figured I would let you know about the new Denny's in my Hometown. Palm Bay FL. It is Brand new. I was surprised when I came back home and found that one of the Platt family's cow pastures had turned into a Denny's. Several co-workers and I go there when I am in town. The food isn't too bad. I do have to complain about the scrambled eggs. They have a runny, watery consistency that is highly reminiscent of old military issue powdered eggs. The help isn't very good either. I had to look out the window to convince myself that I was in America. Most times our servers had a very limited understanding of English. The worst thing is actually the customers. Florida has a mean age of 210. the restaurant is located right off of I-95. This gives retirees the opportunity to SLOWLY pull off of the onramp and create backups as they berth their Cadillacs and Lincolns in the subcompact spaces. There is nothing more annoying than watching a 90 year old retiree bitching that he has been overcharged on his coffee to a sub-literate immigrant just off the boat. But I digress. Overall I would give the restaurant a 7 out of ten. Primarily to its cleanliness and new furnishings"

Our waitress said the same. Now I really think this is quite unusual. Iwould like to be able to contact Denny's and report my unpleasant experience and the refusal to provide a guest comment card. Could you provide me with some way to contact Denny's management with my complaint?
By the way, the restaurant was located at about 1150 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL and the Manger that said there were no guest comment cards wore a nametag that said "Glascine". " - written prior to September, 1999

- June 13, 2000 - "In may of this year I was in the Pembroke Pines area of Fla. I was there because my wife was in the hospital in north Miami area. Every day I would stop into Dennys for breakfast. The second day the waitress ask me if I lived in the area or on vacation. I then told her that my wife had just had knee replacement operation she said that she hoped my wife was feeling better. The next day she ask me how every thing was going and I replied that my wife had a rough night and she had cried on her stuffed lamb that a friend had given her and got it all wet. The next thing that I knew was my waitress and another waitress came over to the table and presented me for my wife a stuffed pink teddy bear. My wife cried and said by god this sure is a wonderful world. She has kept the bear with her in the hospital and now that she is out and doing very well it has a special place for it on her pillow. Dennys should be very proud of these people for tis is what makes a company great. The Dennys resturant that I am writing about is on University Drive Just south of Todd in the Hollywood Pembroke Pines area."

- "I'm a coffee and cheesecake regular at Denny's here in Pensacola, FL. There're a lot of really scary people at our Denny's (and I'm usualy one of them). I know you get sick of this "come see our Denny's" shit, but if you ever come visit #3666 (my second home), it's location is 7748 N. Davis Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32514. Phone: (850)478-0727. I'd be delighted to come along if you visit us! I promised, I don't bite people that I like (keep your fingers crossed). So what if I discovered you through a Denny's website...okay, wait, that is a bit fucked up. Anyhow, if you do ever wander out this way, there's also a Denny's on Pensacola Blvd., but they suck. #3666 is the ONLY Denny's for me. If you ever come on third shift, request Janet as your server. She's the shit. I've had some very interesting conversations with her - lastnight we covered the subject of vibrators. A very thorough discussion of them too, I might add. Kept me grinning. And if you see a short goofy-looking guy working at the grill with choppy reddish hair that's highlighted blonde in front - that's my ex. Order something that takes forever to cook so he'll get pissed. Like - a Charleston Chicken Ranch Melt. He's a real dick. And have you ever tried seasoned fries in ranch dressing? - "I visited the Port Saint Lucie Denny's a few days ago. I have never been so disgusted in my whole life, first they brought us the menus's, which were so greasy that the slide right out your hand. Next came the drinks, which had hash browns from off someone's dirty plate on all four glasses. Next after complaining about the dirty glasses came our breakfast. One of the plates had dried up cheese on the plate and the order itself contained on cheese products. Just before dinner came I found a eight inch hair on the table. What's with this place? Why in Gods name would you keep this place with your name on it open? We will never go back to this filthy place or to a Denny's again. Hope you close this place down before someone has to get sick and die or before you get your big pants sued right out from under you." - written prior to September, 1999

- "I was searching for Denny's Home page when I ran across your site. The information that Denny's doesn't have a homepage or site is interesting. Neverthess, when you get around to it starting checking some Denny's in this area.
Fet this picture: Denny's took over a defunct restaurant a few years ago, cleaned it up a bit, and seem to be doing well, until recently. I was there over the weekend. No hostess and the waitstaff avoiding the task of seating guests. Waitress eventually took my order. I asked if tossed salad was included and she confirmed that it was. Another wait person eventually came back with my meal. There wasn't enough dressing to take care of the salad, but the food was "fair." During my wait I had time to study the holes in the upholstery of the booth across from me and wonder why it had not been repaired in the last year or so. When I finished my meal I tried unsuccessfully to contact my waitress so that I could get my meal check. During my stay at the place a Hostess had come on duty. She asked my waitress three times for the meal check whereupon the waitress sullenly presented it to me without comment. When I commented to the cashier that I thought that the small tossed salad came with the meal he said there is a note on the menu to the contrary, unless I bought a Senior Special, which I had not. I had ordered a "regular dinner." There's lots of competition in Sarasota; more than 2,000 licenced restaurants in the metro area. I wonder how long before this Denny's will crash? Then again, maybe they have and haven't found out yet....." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Tonight, my wife and I visited your Denny's Restaraunt on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, Fl. We waited 25-30 minutes for our food and the waiter still ignored us when we asked where our food was. In fustration I told him I would just pay for the coffee and tea we had. He told us don't bother, like he had no intention of serving us. I only wanted to eat a club sandwich and my wife only wanted a piece of pie? I asked to see the manger ( Carolyn Moon) who was not any more help than the waiter that waited on us. All she said is that she was sorry. There were a lot of other patrons that were not happy with the service at the Bee Ridge Restaraunt. I have been a good customer of your Restaraunt chain but tonights service and attitude of this waiter was terrible. He was abusive and he seemed to have an attitude before we even ordered. If this is how your management allows the Denny's Restaraunt Chain to be run then you have lost my service and anyone I tell about this situation. ATAhe Denny's restaraunt on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota needs some looking into.

- "The Denny's on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, Fla., is a disaster in progress. Denny's, or a franchise holder, took over a middle-aged restaurant building tht had housed several restaurants who had short life-spans. It was an instant success, from all appearances. Always busy. However, Denny's have not refurbished the place and it's getting seedy. Cracking upholstery in booths. Poor service. DON'T STOP THERE - go across the street to Mel's Restaurant where you will get good service and good food in a well-kept, well-run restaurant. The competetion in Sarasota is fierce with hundreds of restaurants, big and small. This Denny's won't be around long unless they take some time to refurbish and get adequate help waiting tables." - written prior to September, 1999

- June 15, 2000 - "Conveniently located right down the street from New College, this is by far the worst Denny's I have ever been to. As previous reviewers have noticed, the service is downright terrible. If you are not white you might not even get served. Myself and two non-white friends waited for 45 minutes before we left- the staff simply refused to wait on us. If you do get served, it is quite likely that there will be some error on your bill. Bitter, filthy rednecks run the show here, if no where else. The parking lot is a dangerous place at night and a good place to get dings in your car door. Local thugs tend to make this their hang-out and fights are common. There was even a stabbing at this Denny's while I was attending a nearby college 5 years ago. A pervert tried to abduct a friend of mine less than a block from this Denny's. I recommend any other choice- the place is dirty, falling apart, and poorly managed- if there is a manager at all. He is probably tied up in the back room, or dead."

Sunrise, Florida
- "Greetings, My report is on the newly opened Dennys at Sunrise Blvd and Flamingo Rd in Sunrise Fl. It was a complete nightmare. Service was terrible, when you got it. The food was not Dennys quality. It took over an hour before we were served, while we were waiting for the meal from hell the bus boy came and took everything off the table. When our food finally arrived it was the wrong orders and then 20mins later the correct order came and it was horrible. There wasnt on thing that would make up for this evening. At this establishment they want you to pay at the table...waited for ever for that to happen. If I wasnt honest person I could have walked out with out paying anything yet I can not do that so I went to the front and that was another fiasco. So in one work this place SUCKS....and they knew I upset never offered for a manager to talk to me or a courtsey card. Never will I go to Dennys again" - written prior to September, 1999

Things improved vastly around my junior year, though, when a brand-new Denny's opened across the street from my dorm on Tennessee Street. Most all the workers and diners were from the university, so it felt like a campus dining hall -- without the smell." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Dear Mr. P7a77, Regrettably my name is not Joe Shmoe, but I do love the Denny's here on Spruce Street in Tampa, Florida. Please, let me tell you about it. No, really, I insist. From the front, it appears to be your basic Denny's (not a bad thing, mind you). It's got the standard dining room layout and it sits along that special time-space rift where two eras collide: Half the Denny's logos are old, half are new. While the service is unpredictable, the food is typical Denny's fare - tasty, cheap and impossible to distinguish from the same meal at any other Denny's. All these are considerable qualities - perfectly ordinary is still perfect, yes? - but what makes this Denny's special is what it hides. Behind the facade of the familiar, at the back of the restaurant, sits a thing of such beauty and genius that it must be seen to be believed. It's called Lenny's Lounge, and it's a bar, owned and operated by Denny himself. The Denny's-Lenny's on Spruce Street takes one-stop shopping to a new level. A few beers and a Moons-Over-My-Hammy, all in the same building. For lack of a better cliche, two great tastes that taste really damn good together. Denny, I salute you." - written prior to September, 1999

- "I want to share my experiences with one particular Denny's. Once upon a time, the Denny's on Fowler Avenue in Tampa (one block down from University Mall) was the nightly last-stop for the brightest and most fun club kids in Tampa. After long nights of dancing and hanging out at truly cool "alternative" dance clubs like DNA, Evolution, Masquerade, Parthenon, heck, even Empire :), we would all end up at the dear old Denny's on Fowler. There's tons of Denny's in Tampa, but this is the one we enjoyed the most. I think that has to do with two things: that Denny's was the closest to DNA (on Bearss and Nebraska) which was sort of the crown jewel of dance clubs in Tampa. (It stayed open 4 years!, a virtual dinosaur!) Secondly, it was just a mile from the University of South Florida, the home of thousands of young, restless, bright, and interesting students. It was a great time at Denny's... I can't get into the details of the hundreds of fun stories I have of all those very late nights. (we *never* got there before 2AM :) They remodeled that Denny's a year or so ago... and I don't live in Tampa anymore, so I don't know if club kids still haunt that Denny's. It just doesn't seem right now, as they got rid of the really long booths we used to make such great use of. Special kudo's should go out to a waitress named Judy who worked there about 2 years, and was always VERY nice to us club kids; and Ken the waiter who was likewise ace." - written prior to September, 1999

- "The Denny's in which I dine most often is the one on N. Dale Mabry Highway here in Tampa, Florida (the one just north of I-275). Not because it's my favorite (see Spruce Street entry), but because it's closest to my house. Still, it's not a bad Denny's; in fact, it's probably my second favorite in the area. It just opened about six months ago, so it's pretty new looking and clean. And I got a cool set of Denny's crayons there last week. There's a really weird server there who always recognizes me and says hello. Despite his weirdness, he's one of the better servers I've ever had, so I'll try to find out his name just in case anyone wants to request his section. All the servers there are friendly, but they're almost always short-staffed. I guess that's the price you pay for eating at such a popular place." - written prior to September, 1999

Dale Mabry Highway just north of I-275. After being out late at night it is nice to go somewhere where the servers know you from your many late night trips. I am a chronic Denny's diner; it has gotten to the point where the server, Darren, knows me and my friends and doesn't even have to ask for drink orders. But the third Denny's, the one on 34th St in St. Pete does not have a look alike that I have seen...In fact I spend more time there then at McD's (my favorite restaurant)...We have a Meeting there on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month for the USS Victorious (a Star Trek Club I am a member of)...And to be totally truthful, I don't like their coffee, but I love their Iced-Tea... - "This is a letter of complaint and concern regarding the Denny's below:
Denny's Restaurant
12703 North Dale-Mabry
Tampa, Florida
I visit this Denny's on a regular basis. This complaint is a result of my most recent visit on 12/13/98. The food is declining, yes, but my concern is the restroom.
I went to the restroom (Men's) to wash my hands before eating and have the following complaints:
1. The urinal has been broken for at least 2 months.
2. There was trash and paper towels strewn about, including in the sinks.
3. There was no soap in he soap dispenser. It made me wonder......HOW DO THE EMPLOYEES WASH THEIR HANDS PROPERLY? My Server and the cook were both men.
Thank you very much," - written prior to September, 1999

- September 6, 2000 - "Denny's has always been a favorite of our family for many years. You could always count on good food, great service, and affordable prices. Recently, we entered a new Denny's on East Fowler at Morris Bridge road in Tampa that had been a Shoney's earlier. It was remodeled with everything new but very dismal interior. Our dinner experience was not a pleseant one and very inconsistant with the quality that we had experienced and come to expect at other Denny's. As we entered, there was a gentleman filing a complaint of some kind at the cash register. I do not know the nature of the issue but he certainly wasn't happy. We were seated and it took several minutes for our server to find us even though there were only 6-8 people in the entire place. During our wait, my wife was bitten on her foot a couple of time by fire ants which seemed to be caravaning toward the kitchen. We ordered our food and soon served it but the waitress forgot my mothers toast brought it when she was done. She also brought my dinner salad after my food came. My wife ordered pancakes, which she always loves at Denny's, but found that these were saturated with grease. She tried to drain them but decided not to eat them at all. The biggest suprise came when I felt something strange in a mouthful of mashed potatoes. Thank goodness I didn't bite down, but removed the item onto my fork. It was a bulletin board push pin. I called the manager and he immediately brought me another plate and did not charge me for the dinner. We will probably continue to visit Denny's at times but will not go back to this particular one."

- January 23, 2001 - "This is a review of the Denny's in Tampa, Florida on W. Memorial Hwy near Hillsborough Ave. This is the closest Denny's to my home, and offers very good service. It must be well liked by the local residents because it is quite often busy. Unfortunately there are no Weird Al lookalikes to speak of, but in the relative scheme of things it seems to be the Denny's I like best around town. If you do decide to swing down to the Tampa Area, bring your appetite as there are a large number of Denny's Restaurants in town and the very close-by surrounding towns of Brandon, St. Petersburg and Clearwater."

Tequesta, Florida
- "Greetings, Mr. Denny's guru. I would speak to you of a Denny's in Florida. Tequesta, population 4000.
My friends Tan and Xanaduce and myself, Leven Valera, stumbled into the bastion of cheap cuisine about 10:15. At first, we were welcomed by the twenty minute wait for a table. It turns out that most of the staff had quit at the same time about two days before, and most of the current staff was on loan from a McDonalds, and the waitress was on crack or something. She took three attempts to walk across the dining room to get to our booth, tastily decorated in the Imitation Dead Cow scheme that was left over from when the building housed a Clock restaraunt. However, the carpet was very well done, in an abstract fashion that screamed at me, "DAMMIT! WASH THE CARPET!!"
Twenty minutes later, the grilled cheese that was ordered by two of us arrived. Two seperate orders. Mmm, mmm, good. If you haven't had greasy Denny's grilled cheese in a while, I suggest it throughout the exploit. It's so greasy and shiny I straightened my hair in the top bread piece.
Five minutes after that, the coffee arrived. Yes, that's right. After. If you haven't had a stupid, blonde, tripping balls waitress, I recommend it. You can't be a Denny's fan without that in your catalog.
Moving right along, I figured I'd pull a stunt. I pulled out some flash paper, cut it in the shape of the check, lit it, and threw it over the smoking section.
The waitress stared at the flash.
Five minutes later, Tan thought he saw her blink.
Two minutes after that, she asked how I did that.
And then we left.
Forgot to pay her.
A poem: Denny's for me, Denny's for you, But if you're in Tequesta, Don't get waitress Sue.
And there was a WAY. The manager, Bill. Splitting image." - written prior to September, 1999

- "Have got A WAY for you. Denny's in Titusville FL has a dishwasher (Soon to be host) who looks just like Weird Al. Except for the slightly less curly hair. Come and visit the only Dennys I know of with a full liquor bar. I oughta know, I'm the bartender." - written prior to September, 1999

- August 9, 2004 - "I used to love that one late graveyard shift. We'd hang out and play a "quick" game of Risk or caffeine speed rounds of SkipBo. Oh man we called it "The place" on the phone in case our bored TPD was tapping our phone line that night. Who else remembers the players? "Joseph"- the psychic 150yr old Italian gigolo.(seriously he claimed to be 150)Just say hello and you're in for an hours psychic interpretation/reading.then there's "Dale" everyones favorite waiter,to this day I'm still trying to pay him back for all those freebies and not throwing us to the curb...we have "Pothead Paul" I'd think another Denny's manufactured clone yet I went to high school with him...unless Denny's is far more advanced than we'd anticipated...AAUUGGHH the genius. Integrating the clones into society prior to their occupation....hmmm. "Amy-Sue" the goody-goody that's a wild child at heart. The old floks love her cause she's so sweet but if they knew she was raised on the back of a Harley by her bottle slinging mother. That brings me to "Krysti" I'm not sure if it's her or not but one night the bartender and this other waitress also named Amy got into one mighty good cat fight right outside "OUR" window. Nice and I never got to thank them. And TPD was finally Happy they had 'someth'n to do'. All that has ended with the remodel and all. Lights so bright doctors wander in mistaking it for their operating room. The stray cats have moved across the street to the McD's and most sadly the Super WLMRT. Killing what fun we could have at night on this end of town. Well down to the marina with us fool-hearties or perhaps a stroll along the tracks...Although I'm way too old now to be able to get away with those things. Oh I nearly forgot "The Theory" a Denny's classic. Original credit goes to "Dr.John" Messing in Ft.Lauderdale Fl. We used to frequent an establishment named Dan's maybe you've come across a few. A diner classic not corrupted by commercialism and the competitors need to "upgrade". The theory goes like this..An explanation to why their food and coffee are so addictive. The "King"(of dan's/denny's) ordered his princesses to work for him(wait staff) ordered to watch and protect them in his far off kingdoms are his minions/clones (any male staff) they have "Powers" be careful around them. The princesses are searching for a new King and have gone to the ends of the earth to find him. In order to find him they must observe him for weeks on end. To keep him coming back they've made their food addictive. How so? Notice the slack of homeless outside? Well the king's minion lure them down to the Rinker factory (one in almost every town there's a denny's)where they are ground into powder and integrated with the coffee, syrup, catsup etc...It's addictive because of all the drugs homeless do. So why give it to women? The King is looking for more concubines to produce more princesses. It's "scariest" in places where you've passed the Rinker factory on the way to Denny's."

Venice, Florida
- June 16, 2000 - "I had a wonderful breakfast twice this week at Denny's in Venice FLA, and then the third time I was very upset because the manager, Jim Johnson said that I couldn't have my eggs the way I'd had them the two previous times. I've never heard of a restaurant that said that I had to have my eggs scrambled. I like to mix my over easy eggs with my hash, you can't really mix scrambled eggs well. Why was this such a big problem for him? I canced my order and watched as plate after plate of fried eggs went past me, yet I couldn't have mine that way. Jim Johnson said that the employees that fixed my eggs that way before had made a mistake, but it was that "mistake" that brought me back again and again. It was Jim Johnson who created the problem and subsequently lost a good customer. Is it ever good to tell a customer to change his/her order to fit their menu? Isn't the customer the reason for building the restaurant in the first place? I guess flipping the eggs was too much too ask, maybe it costs them more to do this.Ê "B.S."Ê I hope he has lost more than just me!"

West Palm Beach, Florida
- " Location: Somewhere in West Palm Beach, a few miles west of I-95
It was the Fourth of July, 1990. My family and I had driven out from LA that summer along I-10, to move my 85-year old great-grandmother from Florida out to Southern California. Seeing as it was Independence Day, I was looking forward to a nice barbecue or something, but instead we ate at Denny's. Needless to say I was disappointed, yet surprised that the place was so busy. As it was 8 years ago, I don't remember much in the way of the food, so my recommendations about this one are ambiguous, at best. " - written prior to September, 1999

Wildwood, Florida
- September 2, 2002 - "This Denny's restaurant is located at a somewhat critical exit along a fairly sparsely populated stretch of I-75 and, as such, is frequented by perhaps many road-weary travelers each day. (It is also a major truck stop along I-75 in Florida). We have now had two totally negative dining experiences at this particular location and have informed the management of it as well. This evening we were promptly seated and served water, order taken rapidly (looked pretty promising); however, as we watched diners come and go over the course of the next half hour (not having received our silverware or salads), we began wondering if, in fact, our waitress had gotten locked in the bathroom! When we requested that another waitress ask ours to come to the table, she said that she was "working" on our salads....(what was she doing back there? Handwashing each piece of sredded lettuce?)....she made some vague attempt at apology and said that she'd be right back......tick-tock....another 5 minutes elapse....when the food arrives (small salad and soup)...we realize that we never ordered soup but two salads....were we in the "twilight zone"?? At this point, we figured that it might be another ten minutes before getting our correct order along with the missing silverware so we exited the restaurant. Unfortunately, someone appearing to be "management" was milling around as though he was in a fog which may translate into the debacle which the diners there this evening were all experiencing....chaos in the kitchen at it's finest here, folks!! I've realized over time that when one sees either a "help wanted" sign on the markee and/or an obviously absent or comatose manager, you'd better reconsider being seated or it may well turn into a horrendous dining experience. Just thought this note might save some tired traveler unnecessary headache and frustration......Thank you for providing this forum."
