Willemstad, Curacao

• November 9, 2003 - "I was on deployment here and practically lived off of this Denny's for two months. Service there comes and goes, but it got better once they new me. On a bad day, I wouldn't receive any refills and would often have to hunt down my server for a check. Sometimes I wondered if they even wanted me to pay. This is the first time I was ever served a tub of mayo with every order of fries. It's kind of a Euro thing to dip fries in mayo I think, but it's still nasty to me. The mayo is nasty anyway, may as well be a tub of lard. On a good day, though, this Denny's has some of the best service. The refills keep coming and the wait staff would often come up and talk with me as I sat around drawing and reading. The manager even liked me so much that he made me a cup of coffee using the ground beans rather than the pre-fab stuff they normally use for regular coffee. Two waiters here, though not confirmed homosexuals, constantly winked at me. I didn't complain though, because when one of them was my waiter I always had a full cup of coffee and excellent service."

• January 16, 2004 - " This Denny's location is in the Protectorate of our Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in the South Caribbean. Coming from Holland is good there, as the Serving staff speaks the language of Papiamento and some also Dutch and English. It is open all the 24 hours of the day and night, and makes the food in the American style, but also some in the type of Creole, which is of the Islands, for some of their dishes. The bar is good and the big Serving woman of the eye which looks wrong, ( lazie eye, how do you say?) will bring the drinks which are very strong mixed. (The Cola only colours the rum a small bit). I was there some times, maybe perhaps 3 times. The one time of New Year night was when I was very drinking hard. The room was turning fast.. I had 2 Koffees and the American-type Carrot Cake, all was good, except a bit costly more than expected of the Denny's of the U.S.A. The moneys accepted there are both in the Netherlands antilles Guilders and in the American dollars, so the payment is easy. Many Colombian women that work at the hotel which is nearby go there after work. They are of the lovely type, mostly. Also the women of the Republic of Dominica ( also an Island of the Caribbean to the North) what are employed at the House of whores and club across the street go there too after their working is finished. Those ones are not so much of the lovely type , but will be more to go for the monkey sex. After I was vomiting the Koffee and the Carrot Cake. but this was not because of the quality, as it was quite good. The many drinks of the New Year Night were the causing of the problem."
