Danbury, Connecticut
- "it isn't often that you come across a denny's that isn't worth the trip. my family and i have come across such a place. there is a denny's on rt6 in danbury, ct. that has, for some unknown reason, lost the ability to treat customers properly. we have been there twice, and both times, found the service to be less than adequate. between long waits for seating, long waits for food, poor waiter/waitress skills, and, poor management, we will no longer find our way to this denny's. there are may other restaurants within walking distance of this one, we will walk to them." - written prior to September, 1999

Enfield, Connecticut
- "Oh, I hate to mention this, but again, I only ever visit this one at night. There is one of THE rudest waitresses I have ever had the displeasure to meet working there. she's about an hour younger than dirt, wears her hair in a sort of 60's beehive, and treats EVERYONE as if they weren't worth her time. Unless,of course, you're a cop...in which case she's all sweetness and light. God forbid you should sit in the smoking section (yes, this one has one!) for she will take forever to get to your table. As far as Saint Al sightings, again, I haven't had one, but I don't frequent this one very often due to Her Royal Snittiness, The Queen of Cold Coffee." - written prior to September, 1999

- "OK, I know you already have a not so flattering review on the Enfield, CT Denny's BUT... we (the regulars. I've never even heard of the girl who did the review) still think you should come and visit if at all possible. We will be the official Enfield Denny's ambassadors. If it's too far, we understand, but we'd love to have you!!!! If you're ever gonna be in the area, let us know when and we can give you the grand tour. Love your page!!!! I'm envious of all that you've accomplished!!!" - written prior to September, 1999

- February 10, 2000 - "we have the oldest waitress KNOWN to man, her name "MAMMA" she has her own blue glassware in the pie stand. everyone knows her, plus this is the only hang out we have in enfield so it has become the "cheers" or enfield, where everyone knows your name, and the greeting "handshake" which everyone does that hangs out their. i have be hanging out at Denny's since i was 16 (now 20) i know i have know life, but when your bored its the place to be, i know everyone that works their, and plus when u can't find anyone to hang w/ , u go their and you well find some one you know. okey know that i have bored you w/ this, i tell ya u should come up some time and visit, i can't explain it, but its like cheers i tell ya."

- September 18, 2001 - "I am a regular at the Denny's of Enfield, and I must say that there is no other restaurant open 24 hours a day where it is wise to have any kind of background in self defence. For example about 3 months ago, a watier was assaulted with a coffee mug by another waiter, OUT OF FUN!! Retaliation by the other waiter in question featured a claw hammer. The looks on the faces of the people in the non-smoking section were priceless. "

- July 25, 2002 - "As for the Queen of Cold Coffee here in Enfield: Before people pass judgement on the employees of a Denny's they should realize that we are people too. I don't know how many people are all smiles when surrounded by drunk morons who demand more than possible. As for Ma specifically, she is a loved and missed icon at our store. Had this person taken the time to know her they would have seen a loving a loyal employee of over 20 years, a person who would always give any she had; even if it meant shorting herself. Things at Denny's in Enfield won't ever be the same since Ma passed, they will never be as good as they were."

- October 23, 2003 - "I used to hang out in Denny's in when I was in High School (1986 - 1990). There was a waitress there named "Ma", not Mamma as a previous viewer had stated. She loved to tell jokes to everyone and it is true that she could 'be quite mean sometimes. She once chased me out the door with a fork and knife in her hand because I didn't have enough money to meet the minimum order requirement. Sadly, she passed away a couple of years ago, but Enfield, CT is a cool town. You must visit."

North Haven, Connecticut
- "North Haven, CT Denny's is not corperate, but franchised (owned by real people) so the off the bat has a much better appearence. Not only that, I was served by this gorgeous waitress (the daughter of the owners acually) who gave me and my buddy a free coffee roll, because she could tell we were starving college students on a quest. If you ever go to North Haven Denny's, tell Rachael "Hi."" - written prior to September, 1999

Stratford, Connecticut
- "There is an exemplary Denny's on I-95 in Stratford, Connecticut. I used to be in a band based out of Boston and we played gigs from Maine down to New Jersey. The Denny's in Stratford was particularly homey because there was this very rude waitress working the graveyard shift who insisted on being called "Mom." Orders were requested with a "Whaddya want?" and our Grand Slams shoved before us abruptly, but it certainly kept us awake. we always looked forward to being served by "Mom"" - written prior to September, 1999

Vernon, Connecticut
- "My friends and I have been going to Dennys in Vernon,Connecticut for years. A few weeks ago, one of our gang who is not as popular with the waitresses was asked not to come back because he left an older waitress who he hadn't gotten along with, a tip of one penny. He didn't think they really meant it, and the silly boy came back the next night with my boyfriend, to meet someone, but didn't get past the front counter before he was asked to leave again, and was informed that if he didn't, they would call the police.(all this over a penny?) He asked, was this because he only left a penny tip yesterday? THe manager, according to James, smiled and nodded to him, answering his question. James left without another word, and waited in the parking lot for my boyfriend, who was his ride, to finish his buisiness inside and take him home, which he did only minutes later. My boyfriend and James were in the car, almost to James's house when my boyfriend was pulled over by THREE police cruisers. The one speaking to James was apparently shouting and being very aggressive, saying that James had made some kind of scene, yelling and threatening the staff, and acting very violently, and the officer was CONVINCED that my friend was guilty of this, and that my friend was lying when he said these allegations were not true, that he indeed, left the building when asked to, and quietly waited for my boyfriend outside. As the officers left, my boyfriend was told to "keep him in line", referring to James. Well he hadn't been dangerous before, but he was certainly angry now. Apparently Denny's had called the police even though he'd left right away, and made false allegations about James making a scene and threatining the staff. James went home and phoned the Denny's corporate headquarters, and the person on the other end of the line seemed outraged with him, that he should not have been harassed in such a way, all over a penny tip. They said they would investigate the situation and call James to let him know what happened. After several days, James heard from a different person at corperate who had did NOT know of James' harrassment by the cops, and claimed he was tossed from the resturaunt for "repeated warnings to take his feet off the seats"... Interesting change of story, especially when the manager on duty admitted to James that he was asked to leave because he did not provide enough of a tip to the staff. James was getting angry, and asked the man for his name so that his "lawyers could contact him" and informed the man on the telephone of the incidents that occurred involving the police and the false report. Well the gentleman was a bit nervous now, and told James that the investigation was still open and he'd be sure and look into it. Beaurocrats! My friends and I grow tired of the repeated age-ism (our group is comprised mostly of college aged kids) we recieve at this establishment. Older people are never harrassed in the manner that we are. I have dozens of stories involving preferential treatment toward older customers and ill will toward high school and college aged clients. I hope that by making people aware, this treatment will stop at the Dennys establishment. Thank you." - written prior to September, 1999

- September 4, 2000 - "This past weekend I went to the Vernon, CT Denny's twice, both in the middle of the night. We had the same waitress both times, and she handled our group of six (the first trip) just as well as our group of three (two nights later). The jukebox was way too loud and was about one-third Spanish-language CDs (in Connecticut?), but they turned it down at our request. What was annoying, though, was what they charged one of my friends for a steak. He had ordered the steak by itself, without the accompanying vegetables and whatever else makes a "steak dinner," and expected to be charged less than $8.99 for it. Well, he was -- he was charged $8.89. He was quite surprised to see that they had only knocked off a dime, but it was 4 in the morning and he didn't argue. On the second trip, which was around 5:30 in the morning, one of my friends ordered dinner, another ordered dessert, and I ordered breakfast. All of it was brought really fast, so we had a good experience that night. Unfortunately, nobody there looked like Weird Al."

Wethersfiel, Connecticut
- "We stopped by a Denny's #6690 in Wethersfiel CT. . We ordered our food which took over twenty min. to arrive, with a different server. It appears that our server forgot to pick up the order. The food was cold and had to be sent back, the toast never did come, the coffee was never refilled after asking for this two times. We tried other of your places to find the same poor services and food. What has happened to you organization? We were good customers in the past, but this is the last time we intend to frequent a establishment that is so poorly run." - written prior to September, 1999
