- "For your information, Dennys in Winslow, Arizona has the worst service of any, and I've been in plenty. I can't tell you how the food is because we never did get waited on, along with 3 different sets of customers that walked out before we did."

- "When in Sacramento you may want to check out the Denny's on Micron Avenue about a quarter of a mile west of Bradshaw. It can be seen from Hwy. 50 either coming from or going to Lake Tahoe. This facility is a former steakhouse with interesting architecture from the outside and ample space inside for restaurant seating and a full bar and patio area. Very nice."

- "GREAT SITE!! I read it last night for the first time and I just had to run out and get a Super Bird. I live right down the street from the original Dennys building. I didn't know if you'd be interested in some photo's of the original building. Anyway I have attached them. Feel free to use them or abuse them or just toss them inÊyour equivalent of the trash. Happy Freaking New Year Man!

- "After stumbling on to your web site, I was flooded with lots of "Denny's memories". Denny's is where I grew up; it's my generation's version of "AL's" or the "Peach Pit" (which, in case you haven't noticed, the gang at 90210 was too good to go to Denny's). When you're 17 yrs old, you have no other place to go on a Saturday night but to Denny's. And everybody who was anybody was there. I fondly recall throwing my best friend a surprise 16th birthday breakfast at Denny's. And on another occasion, sending back my Charleston chicken sandwich twice, because it wasn't fully cooked.
And as I got older and started college, I found myself at Denny's at 4 am trying to finish my big, final, make-or-break-the-grade paper defending Freud's "Penis Envy" theory. And sitting at that same Denny's with my oh-so wise college friends, determining what are the three best things life has to offer. (In case you're wondering, we have decided them to be 1). long hot showers, 2).Êlots of uninterrupted, good dreamin' sleep, 3). oral sex!!!!).
And finally as I make my way into adulthood, I find myself still at Denny's. Normally we stumble in after the bars all close and we need to get our fix of "Scram Slams".
Although I have visited many different Denny's here in Colorado, my favorite and most frequented is the Denny's on west Bijou in Colorado Springs, CO. So, I guess what I am trying to say is...thanks for bringing me back to where it all happened."

- "While attending UVM, my friends and I used to go to the Denny's in Burlington, Vermont about once a week, usually around 2:00 a.m. after drinking at the Chance all night. The service was a little slow, but the hash browns can't be beat! One night there was a traveling group of actors dressed in Shakespearean costumes. "

- "I have enjoyed receiving "Project: Denny's" updates over the years and periodically checking the web page. Imagine my surprise, while driving into Nevada on Interstate 15 on the afternoon of November 19, when I looked across the freeway to the southbound lanes and saw what I believe to be "Das Bus" heading back into California. The reason I think it was "Das Bus" is because large black letters were painted in front, when one might normally see "school bus," reading "Das Bus." The bus appeared to be tan or beige or some similar color. (This was in Primm, NV; location of Buffalo Bill's, Whiskey Pete's and Primm Valley Hotel Casinos and the Fashion Outlet Mall.) If this was "Das Bus," I guess I should consider myself lucky to have seen it. If it was not, then you should be aware that there is an imposter out there."

- "My son, Andy, spent one birthday hitting 3 different Denny's at breafast, lunch and dinner for Free birthday meals. So when I read about your website in Access, I knew we were of the blood, as they say. Is the Free birthday meal at Denny's universal, or is it regional? (We're in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN) Does it still exist?
Also, a favorite phrase in our family, is "Take a right at Denny's" refering to the behavior of my husband whenever low blood sugar hits. As I take my time deciding where to eat, I sometimes find myself in the Denny's lot before I find the voice to object. We find that Denny's is a great place to grow your ass.
I enjoyed the short tour of your site, and will make the effort to identify WAY in future. Who knew?"

- "Hey... I like your web site, it's very interesting. I work at Denny's # 7531 ( formerly 2041 ) in Perris Ca. Now, I guarantee you , that if you come into MY Denny's , I'll send you home with a Mug, a Coke glass, some pins, salt shakers.... basically whatever you can shuffle outta there without my manager seeing you. Maybe even a menu.. who knows! Come on in, ask for Nicole!
P.S. I thought of something.... you can have the lost and found box! I might be able to get you a name tag! if not you can have one of mine... But hurry in, because they're scheduled to turn us into a Diner in late January, and Diners really suck!"

- "Hi, I like your site a lot. I am a frequent Dennys go'er, in Clarksville Indiana. As you may have heard, ours is the Dennys from hell(#6666), and I think quite possibly that there really may be a correlation between Dennys and Hell. Dennys has become known to many of us as "The Black Hole." That it is, a gathering of depression.
But, to the point my good sir. I notice every now and then on the computer screens at Dennys, well, actually they are the registers I think, but...there is a nifty little screen saver on there. You may have noticed it at some Dennys restaurants. It's simply a white page backround, with the Denny's logo slowly moving accross the screen very slowly. Do you know how to attain such a screen saver? I feel that it might be theraputic to me and perhaps some of my friends as well."

NOW THEN, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHY THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CONTENT TO THE "OFFICIAL" DENNY'S SITE? I MEAN THAT WHEN I TRY TO CALL IT UP, ALL I GET IS A BLANK PAGE WITH THE DENNY'S LOGO IN THE CENTER. I ACTUALLY AM INTERESTED IN CONTACTING THEM CONCERNING A FRANCHISE (SO YOU CAN COME VISIT-MAYBE AT THE OPENING). - "I was very amused at this website, maybe it was because last week (way before I found it) my friends and I decided we wanted denny's, one problem we go to school at Plattsburgh State, in NY, and the closest denny's to us is in Vermont, well we went on this mini road trip, got our fries (and pulled over by a cop) and I declared that I would find every denny's in Vermont. So here's to you! Have fun, be careful and if u'r every in Albany NY visiting the Wolf road denny's be sure to bring as many people as you can and to take up as many booths as you can....I just love when the waitress goes "wait? Did you say 20 for smoking"."

If you catch the manager, Rob Miller, he's a total lameass, but he will more than likely give you free crap if you explain what your doing and make it sound exciting and beneficial to you. I used to work for the franchise that owns the Diner, the store on Tanque Verde and the store on Speedway. They are horrible. Now I work for the store on Scottsdale Rd, #1023. I am a lowly graveyard server."

I live in Lockhart,Texas (Bar-B-Q capitol of the world) and have eaten in Denny`s all over Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, California, Colorado, Louisana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Needless to say, this took some time. I began in the mid 1960`s and will continue to eat at every Denny`s I can utilize. I have never gotten bad food at a Denny`s, but have gotten bad service at some. You can`t have everything! Thanks for this site. It`s cool!"

- "Thanks 4 opp't 2 V E N T !!!!!! Yes, I did find U searching 4 responsible parties 4 my young adult daughter's experiences with a particular Denny's in Texas. She was treated 4 FOOD POISONING after eating chicken wings there.
This was the 2nd incident. Previously, she'd been hit by (bullet-proof) glass following the trajectory of a bullet that, indeed, didn't penetrate the building---just the glass.
She was treated at Tomball Regional Hospital, Tomball TX 77377, so I'm assuming the Denny's was somewhere in that area. I'm from Mankato MN. She travels & works with Renaissance Festival, so you can imagine she doesn't have much money. The hospital is now turning her balance due of $303.75 over to a collection agency & reporting to Credit Bureau. She is a hard-working, honest girl who doesn't deserve what's been D I S H E D U P by good ol' DENNY'S!!!"

- "I was at the Waikiki store in January and had a blast. I practically ate there every day-amazing food!! I live in Sydney, Australia and unfortunately they do not have a Denny's here but I grew up in Melbourne where I remember there was a couple back in the mid 1980's which have subsequently closed down. To be honest, I think that the concept would take off again if someone had good marketing flair and a bit of capital. Any-way, it's a crying shame there isn't one left in OZ...but the good thing is that I'll just HAVE to go back to Hawaii and get it there!! Life is so hard!"

- "Wow, this is great. I thought I was the only one with a denny's obsession. I was aiming to visit denny's in every state, not every single damn one. I'm missing eight states (mostly in the south, haw. and alaska.) and am hoping to get there this coming year. Denny's in northern washington state all suck. They seated me back near the kitchen away from all other humans because I have a bunch of visible tattoos and were really rude to me. I complained and they gave me and me so each a free meal. We went back to the same one and ate steak. That's where my quest for denny's fulfillment got started. Most of the other ones are great, except ca where you can't smoke. Good luck on your quest."

- "to whom it concerns, well I have now had 5 bad experiences . I eater have some ones fingers in my food or the, over all staff, really doesn't care about the customers concerns. Last night I went to a Dennis after the consort.the waiter had a hard time understand English. when I finely got my food the order was wrong. not once but twice, the same mistakes. I had ordered a side of bacon, also another one in my party also ordered a side of bacon. 1 plat of bacon came to the table.the waiter said" I did NT think you would want to spend an extra 2.99 for each side bacon. I also ordered an extra egg, with my breakfast, it did not ever come.1 of my prates orders wasn't even turned in to the cook.so after sitting in this Dennis for 45 min. our table was served. this Dennis wasn't even busy if it was busy ,I could understand the 45 min wait. I used to drive out of my way to visit a Dennis because of the Grand slam breakfast. now ! never again! I will from now on take my business to I Hop, and I will tell all my customers about how all the Illinois Dennis do business. from your managers to the servers,"

- "Well, this has to be the weirdest and BEST little corner of the internet. I, too, used to work as a graveyard shift server at a Denny's in Ohio! (Bluffton, to be exact.) This was about 10 years ago and I haven't been back, but I hear that it had to be shut down by the Department of Health (ack!). My fondest memory was when I was working one evening and I spotted a mouse (eek!) in the dining room. It was right under a two-top table occupied by a "senior" couple. That little mouse was scampering all around their feet and they had no clue what was going on. I took off for the back and begged one of the dishwashers to come out and help me. He grabbed a broom and garbage bag and went out to the dining room to get the mouse. He caught the thing, but the funniest part is that the old couple never realized what was going on. They just kept eating their Senior Turkey & Dressing meals (yep, I still remember what they had). They seemed more upset with the fact that I hadn't refilled their coffee. I do feel quite a bit concerned for you. After eating all those quesadillas, seasoned fries, and such ... I think you may be way past due for a high-colonic."

- "This will sound crazy... But I'm looking for an answer to a question. There was a commercial a while back. I think it was a Denny's commercial. It was a rooster sitting on top of a fence, dancing to some music. He jups off the fence, and then a line of hens follow him. Is this a Denny's commercial? If it is, or isn't...Do you happen to know the song that was played in the background? If it is a Denny's commercial, do you know where I can download a copy of it?"

- "Thank you very much for creating this site. I did not think there was any way for me to voice my opinion, but now this makes me feel like I finally get to speak my peace. From a personal level, I would like to comment on the "Meth Epidemic" report from a "Been there done that" stand point. I think it is very naive for MTV to think of meth as a new epidemic. I remember four years ago when I first started using it was very common and I live in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dallas, Tx. was even (and still is) known for it's speed freaks and credit cards. To make a quick point I quit before it became to apparent for me to hide. I believe that the worst epedimic these days is Exctasy. I have more friends who sell meth to support there Extacsy habit than meth heads and thios ranges from here to New York and Colorado. I know people who cannot talk straight or even form clear thought patterns because of all of the exctasy they have done. Which is more deadly in your opinion a drug that makes you hyper or a pill that makes you feel like you have had the best sex you will never have with yourself and you really do forget your problems. I am not saying that meth is in anyway a lesser poison of the two. I am just saying it is taking over but is so cosmetic people will not think of it as an epidemic untill a senators child becomes a club kid and convulses in a public place."

- "Love your webpage....
Now after reading this awesome title to my e-mail, let me say that it's interesting to see the wide varieties of services at every Denny's, and even some of the folklore inside some of the states, captured in your survey.
Although I love many people online, I never meet any unless I already knew them offline, for my own enigmatic reasons too numerous to enumerate, and to strange to open myself up to anyone about besides my personal therapist.
Although you have already covered this following topic real well, allow me to at least say that the only disappointing thing about "Project Denny's," was that there was no Washington coverage (very minor reproach here); not the Washington that determines the amount of resources used to make paper, and sets speed limits, but the Washington that clear cuts the paper resources and violates the speed limits. Try comparing two of them in Seatac as I did. One in "Seatac South," on Highway 99, and the other about a mile north on the same highway. My personal info on the comparison is made from two years ago, to a time too far back to remember.
I would be interesting to read a review on each. "

Hence, I have to contact them but I don't know any address. All I can remind is that the restaurant was located on Bronson Hwy but I'm not sure West or East. - "First off I must say I admire and can't believe what you are doing. I read about you ages ago in P.O.V. and kept the issue so I could one day look at your site. This is that day. Just to amuse you as much as your site has amused me, I thought I would tell you of my favorite Denny's moment over my group's many experiences there. I hope you enjoy...
Going back about five years, my two friends and I were dressing for Halloween to indulge in the local bar crawl our area supports. My relatively sober friend was dressed as the Phantom of the Opera (not that it matters), I was dressed as Pat the androgenous character from Saturday Night Live (not that it matters), and my roomate was dressed as a whino (it matters). We'll fast forward through the night's drinking, but I will say that my "whino" friend, dressed in bum's clothing was able to carry a paper bag holding Mad Dog 20/20 into the bars where we socialized. End of the night comes around and much to my chagrin, we decided to top the night off with a trip to the local Denny's. Our trailer trash favorite waitress named Candy was serving us that night, and thankfully she didn't recognize us through our costumes, because after we ordered our food, my whino friend began to feel quite queazy. He was a trooper though and fought off the ill effects until just after our plate of nachos arrived. As his convulsions began, and I tried to move him out of the booth to the bathroom, he would have none of it and with only quick movements were we able to lift the plate and salvage our food from his vomit, which now formed a chunky circle in the center of our table. Fortunately the room was mostly empty of customers, but in our panic, we attempted to hide his regurgitation with the warm plate of nachos. Myself and my other friend were now crying with laughter of the situation, until my whino buddy began feasting on the tower of chips and salsa. Luckily he was able to distinguish the toppings from the multitude of similar looking toppings now covering the table. In any event, we sat and continued to watch as the nachos were completely devoured, bill paid and table left to our disgruntled, costumeless, $2.10/hour, green and brown garbed Denny's waitress. That was the last we ever saw of Candy."

I was wondering if you have seen the Denny's commercial they are running now about the "Summer Slams". There is a jingle and the dude singing sounds like ol' Marc Bolan of T. Rex fame. I was just wondering if you know who it is singing or where I might find out."

- "I am intrigued by your website and I feel I must tell you that the Denny's located on Camelback and Seventh Street in Phoenix. I lived in Phoenix until just recently and we locals referred to it as "Gay Denny's." This local hang out is one of the best for the late night munchies, the best time to visit is, of course, Saturday night, late I might add. Give it a try. The service is almost as odd as the atmosphere. Trust me."

- "If you're ever in Perry Florida, you will definitely want to eat somewhere other than Denny's. We were passing through town on Sunday, July 30th and stopped to eat. After waiting over 40 minutes for a turkey sandwich and a Caesar salad, we left. I doubt if they have served it yet!!!!! It was bad enough to have to wait, but we didn't even get a refill on our water. This place needs help."

I don't know how, but I somehow I found your site a few minutes ago. I'm not even a Denny's fan or anything. I HAVEN'T even ate there until today. Isn't that odd? I eat there for the first time and then stumble on to your site in the same day? Now that's freaky. I'm soo friggin in paradise right now because I'm dating this really awesome guy and we went to the movies today. He's totally cool.Well gotta cut short cause my sleep awaits. - "Gods, I think I found someone who loves Denny's more than I do! I checked out your exploits as Denny's worshipper, and day-tripper, and I do have to say that I am saddened by the clear fact that you havent visited my Denny's' (guess that would be Denny'ses) up here in Washington state. As far as I could tell by the Denny's booklet of Denny's locations around America (I had just a short time to peruse it before wrapping it in plastic sacks and duct tape as a birthday present for a friend.) Washington state as probably more Denny's than most anywhere else! Also, isn't one of the Denny's in Seattle being the first re-vamped to the be 50's hop style? Don't you want to see that? You know you do! By the way, since I wasn't able to steal anything from Denny's tonite, I was forced to steal some logos from your site. So, Um,.. thanx. Ok, sadly I have even more time than you do,.. maybe. Hope to see my letter on your site, and your saturn at my local Denny's."

- "Well I stumbled across your site while tryin to find the e-mail address to the CEO of the whole Denny's operation. I found it to be rather intresting as far as Denny's goes. I myself am a coffe brat at my local Denny's but recently got 86ed from there due to a bitchass server that yelled at my friend and I. We had a legit reason for doing what we did. Basicly there was a car accident and my firend Jen and I were worried that is was another coffee brat so we ran out of the restruant. When we got back. Lisa literaly yelled at us because a "real" costomer got offended. Needless to say we got pissed. she also failed to ask me if I wanted coffeeonly due to the fact she was mad at us. Hummmm....... Bitch much? YES! So I am on the war path to get her fired. I love my Denny's! We have like 20-30 regulars. That is when we are all there. It gets a little intresting sometimes...ok all the time. You would have to see it for yourself......If you are ever up around Portland, Or go across the bridge and find Orchards Denn'ys. You have to expereance it for yourself. I am also a lover of Weird Al. I have been to 3 concerts. He is definatly kick ass!! Jen and I are also writing a book entitled "You might be a coffee brat if........." I'll probably send you a sample page of it."

- "My favorite Denny's experience comes from the time my boyfreind and I were hitchhiking from Phoneix, AZ to Moscow, Idaho.
These two kids picked us up after a full day of waiting for a ride in Sacremento. They were stoned out of thier minds, which we didn't realize at the time, or ignored for fear ofÊhaving to set up residence inÊSacremento. However, we realized pretty fast we needed to GET OUT. After much pleading with them to just let us out ANYWHERE (we were out of Sacremento, that was the big thing) they dfinally relented and dropped us off in this corn or wheat field in the middle of nowhere. Or almost nowhere. God bless them, they dropped us off across the highway from a Denny's. There was NOTHING there but a Denny's and a farmhouse. It was way too late to get another ride, so the people in the huge white farmhouse across the parking lot (who had a living room set up in thier backyard, no kidding) let us pitch a tent there for the night, and the next morning I panhandled (I know, real sad) for about five minutes, and got enough in dollar bills and loose change for both of us.
The waitress there was amazing and even though Denny's is the least vegan-friendly resturaunt in the world, she managed to get the cooks to whip us up some serious breakfast foodstuffs with no apprarent animal products. Since they weren't on the menu, and apparently had been based loosely on hash browns, she only charged us for the potatos. (She even comped us the coffee.) I had enough change left over to call my mom and tell her I wasn't dead, which was a great relief to her.
Anyway, if anyone knows which Denny's that might be...I don't even know the highway, but it headed north out of Sacremento and can't be more than two hours, probably less - out, I would love to know the name of that place. I should send that waitress a thank-you note and let HER know I am still alive. In part, no doubt, thanks to her."

- "I was searching the internet and happened upon your site. I think the site is absolutely hysterical!! I work as a hostess at Denny's Diner # 448 in Lancaster Ca on Avenue I and 10th St. West. It is always great to hear feedback from customers, and I will definitely check back often to read what people think of our restaurants. I have been with Denny's for a little over 2 years now and I love my job. In fact I think after college I want to open my own diner. Denny's is a great company with a promising future. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere friendly and inviting. We would love to have you come in and check out our beautiful 50's diner decor, and sample some really tasty food ( I suggest a vanilla coke, side salad with ranch, to be followed by the chicken fajita skillet, and topped off with a delicious grasshopper shake). I hope that you drop by and say hi to me the next time you are in California and I'll make sure to seat you by the jukebox and we'll listen to a little Frankie Lymon "Why do fools fall in love?" If any of our customers read this please write in and tell everyone about the awesome service you received at Lancaster Denny's Diner!"

I never would have thought I would want to work for a "Denny's????" but sad to say I am now addicted to my regulars and such who creep in at the oddest hours of the night. Our address is 8027 Belsir Rd. Baltimore, Md. and if you are ever around this way, please come in and ask for me..I am off on Sundays and Mondays..and work 10pm-6am the rest of the week. My regulars would LOVE this!! I have one guy who used to come in and take a corner booth in smoking, drop acid, and sit in the booth and write in his journal all night long about the goings on's and his opinions of everyone. So..if you are in the neighborhood, stop in and ask for Susan, and brighten my night..Good luck in your adventure!!!"

- "Ya know, I quit working in the Denny's here in Yakima, WA a couple of years ago. I do have a ton of memorabilia from my days as an abused servant there. If you want any of it, I will be happy to send it to you, including my collection of "We're Glad You Are Here" award certificates for outstanding service, the Denny's duffle bag that was given to me as a Christmas gift one year, my personal collection of imitation leather ticket books, all the training materials that I used for the two and a half years that I was a Certified whatever you wanna call it (I think that trainer was the expression that the management used to my face), several aprons, a cooks kerchief and tie, several baseball caps, a couple of the old coffee mugs that show a scene when hot liquid is put in them, and more Save The Children stuff than I can begin to list.
Because Denny's is now a distant part of my past, I thought that you may find some sort of use for all this stuff. I don't even go into the Denny's that are here and have finally broken my addiction to their coffee, or whatever it is that they use as coffee now. Personally, I have seen better battery acid.
I can arrange for shipping of these items through my husband, the truck driver at your convenience. He doesn't usually go to Arizona though, so you may want to make plans to meet him in California as he is down there just about every week.
Nice to hear that you are still maintaining your site, keep up the good work!"

We go back to visit it every once in a while, but its just not the same anymore, ya know? The gang's not there all the time.. Oh well. no biggie.
What IS a biggie is this.. DENNY'S DOESN'T FUQN SERVE CHEESE SOUP ANYMORE! I was SO ANGRY!%#$%@$&^ Thats like, my sole reason to still go once a week! Thursday was Cheese Soup day, and now its gone. Thursdays just aren't what they used to be either."

If you decide to come down some time just drop me an e-mail and I'll gather the troops and we will wlecome you. And your URL has been given out to all of them. We also have some Denny's Rat T-shirts and Hats, and even our own coffee mugs that we could have waiting for you if you came down."

- "Just wanted to tell you that your page is awesome...I read your reviews...nice stuff...I highly recommend taking a trip to New Jersey....we have lots of Denny's, my personal favorite being the one on Route 18 North in East Brunswick...if you go there, go late at night and ask for Linda; she's is a high schooler/college kid's goddess of Denny's. She is always pleasant, no matter how late or how large the crowd, and she doesn't always charge you for everything. Her theory on Coke seems to be that only one needs to be paid for and the rest (for the other 7 people you are with) are the free refills. ANother neat Denny's is the one on Route 1 South, just below Princeton, across from the Quaker Bridge Mall. It's still decorated in the old '80's style, with the stained glass separating the sections and behind the register.
One other thing I noticed on your page was your collection of stuff....I have 2 challenges for you: a plant and a rug. A bunch of kids from my high school (to which I no longer go, but I digress) have stolen 2 plants (I helped in one theft). I also happen to know someone else, a friend of a friend, who stole the rug from in front of the register. He keeps it in his dorm room...now THERE'S talent! Good luck in your future Denny's Travels....Keep on Truckin'!!"

Anyway, I had wanted to go to as many Denny's as humanly possible long before I saw your website (somethime in March 2000) and a few friends and I are planning a trip to Toronto in June, and we were talking about stopping in every Denny's on the way there and all of them in the city. I was going to put the results of this trip on my own website (www.angelfire.com/zine/mollyculeandatom) and when I saw yours, I thought, maybe that guy could use my information as a sort of "roving correspondent" type thing. But the sad part was when I saw a pic of Das Bus, because it was my thought that you guys were tooling around to Denny's in a VW bus.. (The German name gave me that impression) but to my dismay, it was a school bus...
You guys oughta get a Volkswagen bus and tour the country in it and go to Denny's... That would be so awesome! A vintage VW all around the USA in Denny's parking lots.. very cool stuff... I know you probably couldn't care less about this suggestion, but it's my 2 cents worth ... think it over you guys! Happy eating!"

- "The actual times in which you arrive at the various Denny's leads to the obvious conclusion that the visits follow wild, drunken binges in the otherwise peaceful communities. From the tenor of your website, it is also obvious that your goal harass, berate and degrade honest citizens of the various towns with the final, climatic moment of your festival of debauchery occurring in the only four star restaurant open at such an ungodly hour. I have taken the liberty of warning management of Denny's in my home town, and I can assure you that your shenanigans are not welcome here."

- "Did you see the horrible new Deny's commercial? It's a bunch of people talking and they jump from one person to another. Here are some horrible examples.
Man: Sometimes I just want to hit her with . . .
Woman: a skillet and a glass of ornge juice.
Man: Do you ever feel like a . . .
Woman: . . . pansy. Or a rose.
I think they are horrible and need to come off te air. I'm a server and an assistant manager at #1782 in Glendale, WI."

- "Found your site through Ginger's Very Special Rant page. Someday, when I finish revamping my own webpage, I want to link to it.
I love what you are doing in your noble quest- I think you need a non-profit so you can raise funds for your journeys. And, I would be happy to advise you on any Denny's in Utah (veteran visitor of many of them in my growing up years), or near the north Dallas area of Texas (where I now live), and you can even stay with us if you want to come here for more of the Texas Denny's experience. I'll buy you a Sunshine Slam.
About 9 years ago, a very dear, very odd friend of mine gave me a Denny's employee manual circa somewhere in the 60's. It has passed through several friends, and was only to be given to someone who really would truly appreciate it. If I can find it (buried in a box somewhere from moving, but honest, it's a cherished momento) it is YOURS dude, no one could appreciate it more and it's time it moved on.
Also, I recently had the opportunity to tour the cluttered apartment of a crazy woman who had shot herself (long story) and lo and behold, she had a framed Denny's placemat on her wall. I wanted to steal it, but decided it was a cursed object and sadly, left it behind. What do you make of that?? Do you wish I had swiped it for you?"

- "To the man who loves to eat at Denny's Resturants, Finding a good resurant is hard to find when you are on the road traveling. I have asked locals and the results have been horrible. Last Saturday I ate at the Denny's in Simi Valley, Ca on Cocharan Street and in my opinion which means nothing, I would delay eating at that one for a long time. When this tall skinny balemic individual came up to me and was going to seat my family he was wearing two earings in his nose and made Dennis Rodman look good. This person was brain dead like he had been sniffing paint in a plastic bag. the food was terrible, on a scale of 10 it did not rate a 0ne. The Denny's I like are the ones in Dallas and Ft Worth, Texas. There the food is great and they do not serve niggers. Now, down in Florida, my best friend went into Denny's and asked if they serve Niggers and they said "YES." So he said, "I will take two for my alligator". Good Luck for the rest of the US!!!!!!!!!!"

- "Man oh man... I came across your site around 4 years ago and then forgot where it was. I've been telling people about it for years. So today, I was looking for some Wally Pleasant stuff (my girlfriend went to school in Ann Arbor, and has never heard of him, can you believe that?) and found you again! Wish I had known you guys were here (in Arizona) for New Year's. I would have come out and had some Buffalo Chicken Strips with you. Interesting fact about that Denny's you were at: It's built on what used to be a Pet Cemetary. My ex-girlfriend refused to eat there. Guess that's the risk you take when you eat at one of those non-standard, franchise Dennys'"

- ">Hey man, this is alright. It's good for the soul. But you know you are just making an example of Dennys, which is good for the American public who just don't have any place consistently good to go to eat. Here where I live(Goldsboro,nc) there was a Shoney's but I could eat at a Texas Steakhouse for that price. Maybe that was why they submerged. I wonder if you ever thought of doing a project Hardee's or KFC. My experience has always been this: forget the drive-through if you want to get what you ordered, don't expect to wait less than ten or FIFTEEN minutes to get anything to eat if you are there at certain times of the day, like lunch. Most of the time the food is good, though, if they make your sandwich right and the fries are hot. Anyway, you have a great site, it made me laugh. And sigh. too."

- "I have been discriminated upon at Denny's more than once. I smoke clove cigarettes, and have been told they are offensive to others. Are regulars cigarettes not offensive to non-smokers? There is no posted sign, or anything posted on the menu that prohibits the use of cloves in that building (which should be posted by law if, in fact, a 'true' Denny's rule). The employees have ALWAYS been rude in their tactics of asking me not to use. I have actually talked to the manager, who on two different occasions, did not speak very good ( if good means poor in our society) english. I am totally pissed and plan on finding some other 24- hour joint to satisfy my late night munchies."

Also we get new menus twice a year. We will also start selling those ridiculous roosters soon. Ya know the commercial? Now get your plush Denny's Rooster!GO FIGURE!!"

- "Just happened upon your site this evening. This isÊone of the few websites I've seen that I have actually enjoyed. I am not a fan of Denny's,although I've dined in plenty of them. I used to love it when they had free meals onÊbirthdays. At the time I was traveling all over the Bay Area on business, and I wouldÊeat in three or four different Denny's on my birthday, all for free!ÊSure miss that deal. Anyway,I wanted to tell you about the vacation I went on with my parents in 1970. We went to Oregon,Washington and British Columbia and, although it wasn't planned this way,we ended up eating EVERY SINGLE MEALÊin a Denny's. As I recall,it was a 10 day trip. We stayedÊsomewhere in Oregon the first night, then went to Seattle, then Vancouver BC,then Victoria and then home to California. It just happened that every place we stayed had a Denny's right next to it. The first few days it wasn't so bad. I had a burger for lunch every day and fried chicken for dinner. Breakfast was usually pancakes eggs and sausage. I never complained, but after a while I started hoping and praying we would stay somewhere that had a differentÊrestaurantÊnext door..a Lyon's or McDonald'sÊor even a truck stop.. ANYTHING! Finally when we got to Vancouver we stayed at a hotel downtown, and I figured at least here there won't be a Denny's. I was wrong. There was a brand new Denny's right next door,in the lobby of an office building.ÊAt least there was a little variety here: the wait staff were all French or French speaking, and hearing them pronounce the menu items was entertaining. The funny thing about this experience was my dad. He ordered the exact same food almost every time, cooked exactly the same way,but hisÊcomments varied greatly from one day to the next.ÊOne morning he'd say "that was the worst breakfast I've ever had" ,then the next day he would eat the exact same meal and say how great it was. It became a reliable method to judge his mood every morning. At any rate,I love the website and I will keep coming back, which is more than I can say for Denny's. Keep up the good work."

- "Maybe you could answer a few questions for me. I am currently an Area Trainer for Denny's. I also run a 1.8m dollar store. I have been with Denny's for 8 years, and I just do not get what the big deal is about? WHY hang out at Denny's? I know we are one of the few 24 hour diners, but why a web page? Why, play cards and monopoly and drink coffee for hours? Just to let you know they have set a policy to rid of people that do this... 2 hour table limit. You must order food. This includes every one in the party. No games, no rough language, etc... If you do not order food, only beverages, you have 20 minutes. You see, we love to see regular customers visit us on a regular basis, however we are still a FAMILY joint and therefor, becomming a HANG OUT has got to stop! My point here is... you guys need to MOVE ON! GET A LIFE!"

- "Oh My God! I thought I was the only nut who ever thought this one up! We must have been seperated at Birth! For the fast 4 years, I have made it my mission to visit every Denny's in North America! My girlfriend even used to work with a relative of the Denny's clan (Gail Dennehey... or how ever you spell it... she's busy watching TV so I didn't yell down and ask). I have driven from Boston to Los Angeles twice now in the last few years, as well as from Chicago to New Orleans, and we made it a point to eat a Denny's at least every morning. (I still get excited about the Denny's in LA where we sat next to a few movie producers talking about a film layout). I have pictures to prove it. Wish I had thought to get the servers names like you (good job little brother). Anyway, if you need a partner in crime on this, by all means write back. We need like a Denny's fan club........ I just visited your Denny's site and am curious to hear more about your mission. My name is Erika and I'm one of the Editors at a new online entertainment network called Bla-Bla.com.

- "I have seen the TV commercials featuring the new entries and as I watch I remember the great beginnings of Denny's and their success in screwing up what could have been a truly remarkable and memorable dining (on the cheap) experience. I've had waitresses cough in my face and minority waiters smart talk me as I studied the menu and lousy food placed on a soiled table before me. The only thing I have not experienced is a loud fart from that fat waitress. But then I am not going back anyhow even for the new entries!"

- " The new phenomenon of Denny's "Classic" Diners is not a good one. Today was my first experience at one of these tragicaly trendy places. I walked in and was immediatly impressed by all the chrome, but as usual, first impressions areÊquickly proven wrong. But first, to be fair, the service was top notch. My coffee stayed full, and yes; there was a RED HAIRED WEIRD AL! My only gripe was the menu. It was too short! IÊÊalmost asked where the rest of it was. There were many many of the old standards missing. some of the old classics were there, but it kind of reminded me of some kind of Bastardized offspring of an unholy union between a Denny's and a Waffle house. I hope i'm not the only one that feels this way."

- "I was reading your reviews and saw the one about Denny's #0677,St. Louis, Missouri and I must amend this review for you. Dade, who didn't want to go into management and work 60 hours a week for measly money... He caved in and went into management! He has, however, gone back to waiting tables. He couldn't handle the stress!!! I'll agree, it is a very stressful job, however, Dade is a big wimp!!!
I just love this site! I work at Denny's and honestly, their website is dull and boring! It's great to see actual comments about the different restaurants. And, should anyone else be asking, there is a big difference between whether a particular restaurant is company owned or franchise owned. We have a corporate headquarters for the company stores--ultimately, where we have to take our orders from. Franchise stores are owned by outsiders, who make their own rules, etc. Just thought I would clarify that for you. And the corporate headquarters has little or no control over what goes on at a franchise store.
P.S. He's still a WAY look-alike!!!!"

- "Why do i like my Denny's? Why do i like Denny's at all? My coworkers found my obsession with Denny's very odd, baffling, and at times, frustrating. Why not Eat-and-Park, they would say. I would cut back in reply "I want my Zoob dude, dammit." So every night during summer at times ranging from 9 o'clock PM and there between 9 o'clock AM, i would head out to yonder Denny's. Some might say, damn, that's a lot of time spent at denny's, and gas money wasted too. But no, i did not waste gas or money spent on gas, for at the time i was 15 (few months later, now i'm 16) and i live 3 blocks away so often i find myself jumping out the window and heading up for some Millstone coffee at 11 PM. But, back on track. I first started hanging out at Denny's when my friend Amy, another Denny's freak, told me about the cool people up there and there rightous seasoned fries. Personally, i prefer the unseasoned fries, but she was right about the awesome people. We've got quite an age range in our denny's group. There's Steve, who's either 45 years old, 35 years old, or 25 years old (hard to tell. Trust me.)...he's still around. and then, the local King of Dennys, Tim. Tim's emplyed at a local grocery store and used to live with his parents, but now he's living with another denny's local, Ryan. Ryan works selling vitamins at the mall. Tim is 20, Ryan is 20 years in age as well. Then, there's Mona. Mona is a year older than myself (17) and lives in another borough than Richland, where this particular denny's is located. They have no denny's there, and it's only like 10 miles away, so the come to ours. She often brings her sister Sophie (15 y/old) to denny's. well, enough of my babbling, i'll just mention in brief: There's Norm, who can attract attention from every patron of Denny's for 2 hours by telling a single story that would take a normal person maybe 30 minutes to tell, John, who moved to arizona (but has promised to return with completed films...he used to bring in his video camera and tape everything, from a drunk guy babbling about being the president to Tammy taking some harrasment from Tim) Sean and Trish, who are dating, Amy, my good friend, and then there are the Bands. The Alan Smithee Project, She's Amazing's guitarist and drummer, and Attention Benefit Disorder's Joe Messina, and Triple X All-Stars Tim (previously mentioned) and Seth. For the most part, they come in on Friday at about 1 AM, in from college 2 hours away, and stay there for the weekend (mostly). Yup, they travel 2 hours to hang out at Denny's. Sometimes they have a gig at a firehall, but for the most part, it's Coke and the sampler for them. I feel i have to mention a story about these bands and Joe Messina. One day, my friend Dani and i are sitting in a booth, in the smoking section (only frat boys sit in non-smoking) and walks in Joe and Louis, brothers age 17 and 20, and Mike and Matt Miller (of Alan Smithee Project, aged 18, twins.) I've been watching Joe for a while cuz he's really awesome (even tho i'll never admit it to his face) and paints his fingernails in many colors, from pink to black. Since i'd been wanting to talk to him for a while, dani and i decide that now is our chance. so we make our way over to there table in the back room, and strike up a conversation. And we were right, they are damn awesome people. Turns out, mike and matt will be attending college with Dani in a few months, living in dorms that are right next to each other. bonus. anyways, a day or so earlier my friend brandon has told me about this concert by the Alan Smithee Project, who'm i had never head of. So, i go to the concert, and lo and behold, it's Mike and Matt. Damn ironic how fate works out. So, now i'm best friends (or close to) with all these people, and i'll probably never forget them. If you're ever in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and want some good company (and great coffee) then visit our Denny's. Mention this article and get a free cigerette! heh. Oh yeah, i forgot to tell u about the time my heart stopped. We walked up to Denny's one day, and there was this sign "Closed for remodeling" What! Dennys, Closed? SHIT! What were we to do? Luckily, it was a monday, so it was no biggy, Friday is the good night up there, and they reopened on wednesday. supposedly they painting hte place, and u can tell just a bit in the smoking section, the walls are quite as nicotine yellow... as far as the Weird Al Yankovic thing, yes, the manager (well, it varies. during the day, Sue, looks nothing like Al, and the other night manager Randy looks more like Walt Flannigin...) Ed looks like Al, with short hair and slightly more bony face structure. and he used to have the mustache, but he shaved it... enough of my babbling. I've got a booth to get to. Laters."

IF THIS SITE IS NOT CLOSED WITHIN 1 WEEK LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN."

- "Denny's has just begun a promo on the local radio stations, Syracuse, NY , B104.7. It presents a couple dining and having a discussion with their mouths full. Boy is this repulsive and disgusting. Irregardless of Denny's food quality this advertising is the pits. Whenever I catch the commercial I change stations; then email the station that it stinks."

That means that surprising violations can occur, stealing from the consumer, tax payers, and the labor force at Denny's. Oh, yes I have evidence and witness'. Am I really Ralph Nader? Sort of..."
